Hey everyone, I've been caught up in a whole lot the past 10 months or so, and haven't been here in awhile. However, I did want to drop by to recommend Mane N' Tail brands Shampoo and Conditioner to anyone who wants to try a brand that hasn't really been advertised just much.
I love it because it doesn't have all of the harsh chemicals most commercial shampoos and conditioners contain. It's immediately obvious because it doesn't lather all too well and has a slippery thin texture to it that seems strange at first (especially the conditioner which seems even thinner than the shampoo). However once I got used to that, after a few days of using it my hair felt great and became really easy to manage. My good hair days far out manage the bad ones now.
I would especially recommend it to people with fine, light weight hair like mine. It really adds some bulk to it, without making it greasy or limp like some products. I usually wash my hair every other day with it out of habit, but once or twice I forgot and washed it twice in a row without my hair becoming dried out and frizzy, then really greasy the following day.
Another great thing about it; it's cheap and can be found at most drug stores if you look around!
Below is a pic of me I today, once my hair was fully dried and styled after washing it with Mane N' Tail Shampoo and Mane N' Tail conditioner.
Hi Devon, and thanks for the info. You certainly have a great looking Mane there and fantastic colour. It's available here in the UK from Amazon so perhaps well worth a try. Cheers, Ian
Thank you!
Welcome back Devon:)Thanks for that info as your pic clearly shows how fantastic you mane is after using the product.I recall using Mane N' Tail a long time ago but have gone through many brands since as I do like to experiment.Sometimes my hair stops responding to a product I've been using so I start switching up then.Your hair looks really nice as I'd even recommend your picture on the bottle my friend:)What an honor that would be!Cheers
Mark
Thanks for the compliment! Haha, wouldn't that funny to see at the store, a whole row of my face staring back at me.
Yep, It's excellent stuff. I mentioned it too a few years(?)back and someone else even before that.It bears repeating every so often for the influx of newer viewers. My other half has very fine hair that knots up with ease. The conditioner works wonders and seldome turns into a cut-out tangle.

Hey Devon,
Awesome Hair, Dude!
Mane N' Tail Shampoo and Mane N' Tail Conditioner; are these two (2) separate products?
Is the conditioner a leave in product? In other words, do you work the conditioner into your hair and leave it in or would you rinse it out? My hair is thick. My hair has body. Would Mane N' Tail Conditioner be right for my hair?
Raymond
Yep, they are two separate products, but the conditioner is not a leave in, you rinse it out afterwards.
It should work with thick hair too, as the bottle never really stated it was for a specific hair type. Come to think of it, it was originally made to wash horses hair (hence the name, haha) which is pretty thick, so you should be good.

Hey Devon,
Another question: I see that you said that you shampoo and condition every other day. Would you recommend conditioning every day?
Raymond
I used to condition every day for about 6 months, but then I stopped. After awhile it was just making my hair course and ratty looking for some reason.
Looks great! I want to start using it, but I have a few questions:
1) Did you use the original Mane n Tail? (intended for horses) or the human version? I hear mixed reviews about both, So i'd rather get it first hand from someone who has been using it and seems to have great hair.
2) How often/frequently do you shampoo and condition using Mane n Tail? Every day? every other day? once a week? let me know please.
1. I'm pretty sure I use the human version because I bought it at a store that had it with all the other hair brands for people, but the bottle has directions for its use on both humans, and horses, so I'm not sure.
2. I use it every other day, or sometimes every day if I feel like I have to, but that's just because my hair type doesn't fare too well with washing it any less frequently.
Hi Devon,
What a great update, your hair really does look good and thick here, and I am glad that the Mane N' Tail works so well for you. Sadly, I cannot find it in any of my local stores, so I suspect that it is not available in Canada.
Keep it growing,
David
Thanks for the tip, Devon! I think that I'll run out to the drug store today and buy some with the hopes of it not leaving my hair greasy after washing it (like my current shampoo). I have thick hair, but we'll see how it does - can't hurt!
Thanks again!
Sincerely,
yoshiki
