Hi, I heard on the radio about a product called Avacore, so I called about it and it sounds really good, I have a 3 mth supply on hold, but they said you dont have to use it forever, it'll regrow all lost hair,. making it thicker and fuller, you dont have to use it forever, just as long as you want to, but they recommend you keep using the dht inhibitor pills, to block the dht from getting to your hair. they said most men use it for only a year and the results are money back guarantee, so i was wondering if anyone has tried it and if so what was your results?
thanks for your time.
That's funny I hear just about the very same claims with ThymuSkin. The theory is that baldness is an autoimmune disease, and that ThymuSkin enhances the Thymus Gland.
Anyone who says male pattern baldness is an autoimmune disease is a liar or so ignorant they wouldn't understand the term.
Male pattern baldness (medically, androgenetic alopecia) is the result of two things: the presence of an enzyme called 5-alpha reductase which converts testosterone to a very potent androgen (male hormone), and a genetic predisposition to MPB. With only one of these factors, there is no hair loss.
There is a medical condition, called alopecia areata that is an auto-immune disease. This can lead to patchy hair loss, or the complete loss of hair on the scalp, including eyebrows, eyelashes, etc. Alopecia universalis means the total loss of all hair everywhere on the body. These are autoimmune diseases, but have NOTHING to do with male pattern baldness.
Any company that makes such claims should be run out of business.

PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!
This company does not have a good product, in my opinion. I believe they just throw in some saw palmetto, which you can get anywhere, for less money.
If you are interested in saving your hair, see a dermatologist. I have had good luck with Rogaine 5%. Propecia is a by-prescription only product, and the science behind the drug is solid, though I haven't had great results with it.
BTW, neither product regrew a single hair, but they helped preserve what I have, which is better than nothing.
No other product is worth the money, in my opinion. If you want to be bedazzled with a dozen or so products which claim to regrow hair, go to www.regrowth.com or www.hairsite.com. There are more than enough products listed there to lose money on.
Has anyone tried this for hair loss?
I've heard that it is too dangerous. It is used to treat fungus infections, though.
It appears to only be dangerous when used internally and with other medications.
It is a safe agent in a shampoo. I doubt that any ketoconazole is absorbed systemically.
Nizoral is an anti-dandruff shampoo. It contains an anti-fungal agent, and it was developed based upon the discovery that some (many, most?) dandruff was triggered by a fungal infection.
There are some people who say Nizoral works against hairloss, others say it has no affect. I use it once or twice a week, and I must say that my scalp itch is pretty much gone.
That is a good thing, and probably the only value of this shampoo.
