Hey there everyone, I'm currently regrowing my hair and hope to get a bit past shoulder length. I am however worried about hair loss. I'll link some pics and let you see for yourselves and determine whether it's actual hair loss or paranoia on my part.
PS* In these pics my hair is wet and combed back with a wide tooth comb (I never brush).

It is difficult to tell if you are having hair loss. Wet hair clumps together.
Two questions come to mind:
1) Does hair loss run in your family?
2) Are you finding a lot of shed hair strands in your comb or shower drain?
I am reasonably sure that hair density (hairs per square centimeter) varies by location on your head. The sides and back probably have greater hair density than the top of the head, on most people.
To verify this, a hair count within a one centimeter square grid could be done. Place it on different locations of a person's head and count the hairs.

Hi Isaac,
Although I didn't try to view all of your pcs, since it is a bit difficult to copy/paste all those links, I did check out a few of them.
From what I can see, you don't have much to worr about. As Scott mentioned in his post, wet hair clumps together, and that is what you are seeing in your later local and the earlier pics don't show this, and you do seem to have good thickness. Perhaps, if you could share some dry hair pcs, it would be easier to tell.
Also, if you copy/paste the "image" tags from your Photobucket account rather than the links you have posted, the pcs should show up directly in your post.
Scott has excellent points about the volume of sheds as well.
Good luck to you, and keep it growing!
David
Hello Isaac,
No mate, you don't have anythong to worry about for a long time. I'd echo David and Scotts opinions on this. Personally, when my hair is dry it looks very thick, when it's wet, it looks like I could be going bald, especially around the crown area.
Don't worry about it mate.
Take care,
Neil.
