Hello everybody,
What are peoples thoughts and opinions on wearing only the top part (to around the temple area) of the head hair tied up just below the crown of the head (in line with forehead hairline) and the rest down?
And other styles like that.
Thanks.
Rory
Hi Rory,
I have an idea of what your describing but if you posted a picture of the style that would help. However it sounds like you are describing a reverse ponytail on the forehead which seems a bit odd.Anyway I'd recommend a picture so we are on the same page as to what you are looking to do.Cheers

No Hairball (laughs) in the standard back of the head just higher than a low tail and involving less hair
I was googling, and discovered it is called a half tail
Although it was next to impossible to find a picture of a man wearing it
I am really using too many words. Ill try and get my hands on a camera to take a picture

Ha Ha, now I understand:) I've always liked the half tail look so now that I know what you meant maybe it would look good on you.I have to chuckle thinking of that reverse ponytail:)lol.Anyway a pic would be cool when you can do one my friend.Cheers

Google littlebirdlonghair and he has a bunch of photos he took and he has a good example of a half tail. James/Tampa,Fl
A half tail is a reasonable style, I've worn mine that way a few times and I've seen a couple others doing the same. It works real well when you want your hair down but need to keep it out of your face.

Whatever floats your boat.
Go for it, try lots of differnet styles/lenghts/ways of wearing
your hair. Only you can judge what is right for you.
Try a different style each day, and then see what floats your boat.
Half-tails are great on guys. Board member Jason has a website where he has half-tails and other styles done. I believe his website is listed in the links sections. You can do the single half-tail, double half-tail, braided half-tail. While a ladies half-tail can be loose and drape on the sides, a man's half-tail looks best pulled back straight and sleek.
Personally, I think half tails are totally HOTT on men! I like them on straight hair, wavy hair, and even a mopp of dreads looks good half tailed, if you do it right. :) You can tie your hair back tightly, but that frequently gives many people a headache. Try loosening it a tiny bit, so it still looks neat but doesn't give you a headache. Also try tying it at different places - in line with your forhead hairline, or an inch lower, or two inches lower. Just try different things and see if you like your hair that way. :)
