Ok, please don't laugh at this question, and yes I'm serious. I have a terribly sensitive scalp and have constantly battled psoriasis, itchy scalp and dandruff. I've tried several shampoos and nothing works. I was in the store tonight and picked up some Mane and Tail conditioner but they didn't have the shampoo. I've heard good things about this product. I got to looking at a dog shampoo that is all natural with no artificial colors 100% alcohol free and dye free. The ingredients are as follows: Purified water, a blend of 3 natural and renewable coconut based cleansers, thickening agents, aloe vera, natural chamomile extract, fragrance and preservatives. I figured it couldn't hurt to try so I picked up a small bottle of it. My question is this, has anyone ever tried this approach, and do you think it could damage my hair? The brand is Oster and its the Oatmeal Naturals. It sure smells good.
Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks all.
haha I have that same shampoo for my dog, it does smells really good. ive never tried it on myself so I cant answer your question.
if you do try it out, please review how your hair feels after.

I use vatika coconut oil overnight then shampoo and conditioner the next day and I repeat this about every 10 days works for me. The less I wash my hair the better it is and the more you wash it the more it needs washing.
I used to wash my hair every day and had a lot of problems with dandriff etc, the less I mess with it the better stronger and healther it is.
Have you tried going to your doctor? They would probably refer you to a dermatologist who could recommend a shampoo and conditioner that would be specially formulated for a scalp like yours.
Neil.
I groomed dogs for 2 years and have used an oatmeal based dog shampoo before on my hair which worked wonders to my scalp. They have medicated shampoos for dogs with sensitive skin but its recommended that you use oatmeal shampoos before that. I would say stick to it. Also I used "wild animal's sooth-in-oats" Its natural, concentrated, and lathers in really nicely too so not much is needed.
