You will have to forgive me. So it does not involve a haircut or a makeover!
OMG, don't even suggest that! it might give them some ideas!!
Well I don't even live in Tinstel bucket town and I bet they won't cover my airfare rofl!
Cheers,
John.B
That would be what I suspect too, John
Well, it's about time!!
I just hope it's not to play a villain, but work is work for actors!
Why?
This sort of advertisement normally arises because they want to cut the man's hair off!
Seems strange why they just want a long haired man without anything else. Are they looking to do an interview based on the sociological aspects of being a long haired man in a particular locality or region of the United States or being a long haired man in a certain profession? Are they looking for a model to show off for the sake of fashion? Are they looking for talented long haired men? Is there a political agenda behind this? What is the point of this? That is what I'd like to find out and am highly suspicious of. I never trust the media since it is run by sadistic perverts, evil people and corrupt biased communists. The media is run by anti-freedom Jewish Zionists and New World Order creeps! I'd just like the media to cover Ron Paul's Presidential run better and to hell with finding a long haired man. GOT THAT CBS?! GIVE CONGRESSMAN RON PAUL MORE COVERAGE!
Not a very happy chappy are you?
The truth hurts doesn't it Duncan? James/Tampa,Fl
Yes James the truth hurts. I am aware that the media is in the hands of far-right conservatives like Rupert Murdoch and others who are biased in support of Israel and show warped versions (or propaganda) of "news". Socialism in the USA hasn't thrived so well because the corporate media have convinced people that the idealogy takes away freedom. Extremism is not good either left or right wing. I am of the opinion that most Cubans have had a better standard of living under Castro, ie better education and health and improvements in social equality which they didn't have under the fascist dictatorship before. It's utter rubbish to call social progressives Communists. The media is being used to condition people to be obedient and accept authority and has been greatly "dumbed down". The establishment learnt their lesson from Vietnam. The late 1960's through to mid 1980's TV shows and in general films questioned things more. Now they glorify authority and control. Thank god for the internet. I get a lot of my news of what's happening off the internet from non-corporate sources.
Duncan
You have hit the nail right on the head, most people lives there lives with blinders on. i agree with the entire text of your response. keep your powder dry. sincerely James / Tampa,F;
Here's more on that:

As an afterthought, I would strongly encourage any long hair here who is even slightly inclined to step forward and check this out. It's an exciting fun process, and who knows, you might even make it. Impossible to say what they're looking for.
In 1981 I auditioned for NBC's "Fame". The call was announced in my jazz dance class, so I drove over to San Jose State and went through the process. Out of dozens of people in my intermediate classes only one other person showed up - and she chickened out at the last minute. But I did it, and it was totally fun.
Unfortunately I didn't make the first cut likely because at the time my ballet skills were too thin. However, it was clear I accidentally turned out to be a type they wanted because as we went through the moves, I was surrounded by 4 production people who were drilling me with attention. This was cool - and really intimidating - but my ballet skills were too weak then. Oh well.
The NBC folks were all very nice, and later one was almost apologetic as I left the building. That was surprising since I always thought this was such a hard nose cruel process. I had never auditioned for anything since at the community level I got on stage by being a rare male dancer. At higher levels there can be serious competition of course.
But anyway, I decided that I want "Thanks so much number 129" on my tombstone.
I don't have any inside information but my gut tells me
this ia a Maury Povich clone type show where they'll
bully/guilt/persuade you to cut your hair.
I researched Lissette Gonzalez shes a corporate climber, she did the weather in Miami, i DON'T TRUST ANYTHING OR ANYONE IN NETWORK TELEVISION. just an opinion. James/Tampa,Fl
Bummer. I said in other posts here that my first and last interaction with network TV was fun and challenging. And for someone - I never found out who (clearly not me!) - it could be good legitimate national exposure in a popular, well-regarded TV series. In that process we were competing to do something comprehensively very skilled. But that was 30 years ago, and your comments make me realize up close and personal how times have changed. Anyway, I have my fond positive memory. Nowadays I get all my video off the Internet and DVDs. As best I can recall, it may be that the last network TV series I ever watched actually was "Fame", and it was so much fun to have auditioned for it. Oh I watched all of "Deadwood" on HBO. Maybe that's considered a network series.
But hey, maybe we've got these people all wrong and this is a decently legitimate casting call! Isn't anyone going to at least check it out? I'm too busy plus my hair is terminal at about 14".
