Hi everyone I just wanted to share a picture with you of my never ending growth. I started dreading my hair six years ago and I dont plan on mowing them anytime soon. They are natural no wax or peppa were used just a simple twist n lock and occasionally I sew it in.
One word: A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!!! Your dreads rock! Nice lenght too -- but be careful of breakage. The longer they get, the more likely entire chunks of dread will break off. This is why, when you see people with very long dreads, they are incredibly uneven - because they break off at different places. I don't know if you can do anything to avoid that happening, but for now **your hair rules** !!!!!!
Yeah, I havent had a break yet but I am aware of it. I keep them pretty even and healthy to the point where I can grip one and pull with all my strength without a tear. Dreads are deffinitely not for every one though it takes much more work then when I had long hair(minus the brushing of course).
Hi Luke,
The dreads look grea mate and thanks for the update :-)
Cheers,
John.B
Cool dreads Luke!Obviously you take good care of them which is important if guys want that look.If just goes with the territory otherwise it's best to stick with regular longhair. Thanks for posting your pic:)Cheers
Mark
Well that is one way to bypass your natural terminal length is to grow dreadlocks which in time if you live long enough and are trully dedicated to looking after them will reach the floor!

Hi Luke,
Very cool dreads, man. I always think natural looks the coolest. It's great to see you bringing a different style of long hair to the MLHH too.
Keep them dreads growing man,
Neil.

your dreads look cool bro, I like how the tips are blonde did you dye them are did it happen naturally? I ask cause it happened naturally with the sun to one of my friends that has dreads, tho its not a bright blonde but more of a brownish yellow.
Heres another pic from the side showing how I shave my sideburns.
Great growth! I have often wondered how long my hair would be if I had started dreading it when I last trimmed it 17 years ago. I would guess that you gain about half your growth as "normal" hair - 3 inches a year? Is that right? If so, then I can imagine myself with 51 inches of dreads after 17 years.
Enjoy the rest of your journey!
