Hey guys! First, thanks to those who wished me happy birthday. As I turned 17, I decided to look at my old pics. Then I found some of my 15th birthday, and man, I looked far better than I do now. But i had no pimples, beard, and that stuff... I really miss my short hair now. Tons of friends told that Y could have a lot of girls if I cut my hair, man, this never got to me until now. Girls of my age care about looks far than something else... I'm really confused now about my hair. Did some of you guys already thought like this?
never really considered cutting my hair, maybe it's because of all the years i was not allowed to grow it out due to parents, IDK.....However i would suggest setting on an Idea like this for AT LEST 2-3 months....you can have short hair in a matter of hours, but it takes a few years before you will have long hair again....If you still feel this way after setting on the idea for some time, just do what you feel like you need to do....
I agree that you should wait on this one. At least follow the two week rule, if not longer. It's easy to make a change, but if you regret it later, it takes a long time to fix it.
I personally wouldn't want a girl that doesn't accept me for who I am and would only accept me if I change my appearance. That's kind of shallow if you ask me, but if it's what YOU want, then it's ultimately your decision. Just don't be too impulsive about it.
Hi Andy, I'm sure there are as many girls who prefer your long hair to those on the "short" list. Think long and hard about what you want. You have the gift of a fabulous head of hair, but the decision is yours. When you are older, that decicision could be out of your hands so do nothing rash! Best wishes, Ian
Funny you should mention that. I was reading through a random article last night that was talking about how for guys shaggy or long hair is "in" for 2011, and that its all the rage to drive all the women wild. It all depends on who you ask, you'll get either answer, and neither is correct.
It sounds like your having a grass is always greener problem, and your motivation is the most unstable thing ever, a teen girl's opinion. First off, the majority of women don't really know what they're after until they hit their early 20s. So going out of your way to try and impress them this early in the game with cosmetic changes that took years to accomplish is pretty silly.
Secondly, your hair and how you wear it should be a reflection of yourself, not of others. How do you like to look? What hair style/length makes you feel good, and what level of maintenance do you feel comfortable with for your hair? answering those questions should help you answer what you should do to your hair.
If you really want to get a girlfriend your hair is the last thing she's going to worry about. Start off by being more athletic than the competition, not only do you feel amazingly better about yourself when your body is in peak physical condition but the fairer sex will take notice. Go out and get exposure, hang out with friends, make new friends, go to the library to read a book instead of in private, basically do anything that lets you be approachable, chicks dig people who volunteer community service.
In short, its your actions and/or a nice body that will attract women. not the small things like your hair.
hmmm sounds like you might be getting advice from the "preppie" types which is the wrong type of advice imho and the preppie girls are more inclined to prefer the short haired clean shaven G.Q types who usually have expensive sports cars and $$$$$$$, but unless that is who you want to be I would stick with the long hair.
my suggestion is to ask out some of the "Alt" chicks at your school. those girls care less about the G.Q preppie style and are often turned off by those types and prefer an "artsy/rocker" type over the boring preps anyway.
Don't change your hair because "certain people" claim you will get more female attention because it's a bunch of b.s.
next they'll be telling you how to dress after that.
Totally agree with LongHairFromTexas. It all depends on what kind of girl YOU want.
The girls *I* want prefer "artsy/rocker" dudes. If they prefer conventional preppie types, *I* don't want those girls. ;-)
