absolutely nothing
if a school district or corporation decides to restrict hair length for males than I think it should equally apply to females
and if not that is clear-cut Sexist Discrimination.
I do not advocate short hair for school aged girls or women in the workplace and have no desire to see them forced to comply with such draconian rules requesting that they chop their long locks.
that is not the point.
males are forced to cut their hair short because of some asinine "dress code" while females are not.
how can long hair be disruptive if worn by a male, but not a female? this is totally idiotic!
you can have the school uniforms as a requirement as well as professional ware like suits for the office, but at the end of the day you can change the clothes, but you cannot grow the hair out and return to school/work the next day with short hair and have it long again after you leave school/work
it just does not work that way
so, hair length should not be part of any dress code and only those who insist it is acceptable as a dress code for boys/men is a total moron.
if school districts like the one in Mesquite , Texas are not challenged then they may push it further and may eventually require buzzcuts for boys as a requirement to adhere to their fascistic "dress code".
As someone who first grew his hair in the 60s and got lots
of flack for it I would point out long hair is not disruptive.
if kids are bored they'll find something to take their mind
off of their school work, if it's not the guy/girl next to them
it will be the sun shining outside, the cars going by, or kids playing in the school yard.
Right on!
Viva the revolution!
So when are you coming to Texas for the revolution?
That sounds like an invitation. Hmmm ... don't know.
