Hi everyone, well, yet another month files by as I continue my journey to long hair, this being the 18th month since my last haircut back in February 2010. This also marks the 14th month of recorded progress, and I love seeing the change and difference in my hair as the days progress :)
I have attached two pictures, one with my hair in a low ponytail, and one with it loose, my oh my is it hard to tame when loose lol.
Anyway, I hope everyone is looking forward to Autumn and having a great day :)
I enjoy sharing my journey with everyone on this board, the feedback and responses always help.
Kind Regards, James
You journey is resulting in a magnificent mane. Keep it growing and you'll soon have waist-length hair that will be the envy of everyone.
Hi Marco, thanks for the compliment, and rest assured I will continue to grow, waist length hair would be awesome! :)
Kind Regards, James

Your hair looks really thick and full. It tends to frizz out with a lot of volume. If you want to tame it a bit you may want to try essential oils. Try jojoba, coconut, kukui nut, olive oil, to tame your hair. I see that tailing it helps a lot too. Great update, keep it growing.

Thanks for the reply Scott, and thanks for the advice towards the oil side of things. I am definitely going to be investing in some form of oil based product sometime in the near future.
Kind Regards, James

When trying the essential oils for the first time, use them very sparingly. Start with just a few drops. You can incrementally apply additonal small amounts until you achieve the desired results.

Looking good. As Absalom has already pointed out, evenly rubbing in a little oil is great if you want to smooth it down and get it under some measure of control. It's not absolutely necessary, but just something to consider if you decide you wanted to. :)
Thanks for the advice Schmoe, your ponytail looks great as well :) I apologize for not replying as of yet.
Kind Regards, James
Great update James and inspiring hair. Some good advice there about the oils should you wish to tame the mane. Keep up all the good work
Regards, Ian
Hi Ian, thanks for the response, I hope all is going well with your journey as well, have a great Autumn :)
Kind Regards, James
Simply superb!
Hi James K.,
Wow,I'm so jealous as I'd love to have that kind of volume with my own hair! For only 18 months that is fantastic. You may have mentioned it previously but at what length was your hair after your last haircut in Feb.2010?I can't wait to see what you hair looks like after 36 months:)If it keeps up like it started you'll be a "Hair God";)lol.Outstanding update my friend.Cheers
Mark
Thanks for the compliments Mark, as for your question :)
When I cut my hair back in Feb 2010, I got it chopped off to roughly a half inch below collar level, the fringe was above eye level, and is now a good 4 or 5 inches past the bottom of my chin lol :)
And well, I can't wait for another 18 months of growth, hopefully it continues to grow as fast as it has already and keeps it's full body and volume to the end :)
Kind Regards, James
Hi James,
Thanks for the 18th month picture update. You certainly have a grat head of thick hair there and looks in great condition. As the other have suggest using some oil may help. My hair is similar to yours and I've found the Joboba oil helps.
Keep it growing and we look forward to future updates.
Cheers,
John.B
Thank you John, I'll try and get my hands on some jojoba oil then :P
Kind Regards, James
Hi James,
Oh, my goodness, I am blown away by your hair's amazing thickness, and yes, I am jealous! It appears to be growing quickly as well. The others have given you excellent advice about your concerns, and by all means, keep it growing!
Keep it growing,
David
Thanks David, you have a great head of hair too, no need to be jealous :P And of course I'm gonna keep growing it ;)
Kind Regards, James
James,
Your hair is absolutely gorgeous, so thick and soft looking!! **Jealous!** :) I'm glad you are enjoying it. Thanks for sharing the update photos!
Thanks Laura! No worries, I enjoy sharing my updates with everyone, hopefully it helps inspire other people to grow out their hair and find an essence of freedom :)
And thank you for the kind compliments, they always help :)
Kind Regards, James
James your hair is awesome and looks very healthy. Your comment about "hard to tame" isnt surprising as long hair takes a lot of attention. Shampooing, conditioning, hot oil treatments, brushing trimming all are time consuming. Think about adding to that , we girls add curling it or hot ironing it , perms and the time added is almost doubled.
It all depends on the final result you personally want for your appearence.
Really love the long hair - especially loose !!
Awesome !!
Thank you John :)
Kind Regards, James
IT look so good down, from the back you almost look like jimmy pages hair after he 1st started led zepplin after his yard birds experience you even part it the same way he did back in the day.
James/Tampa,Fl
Thanks for the rockstar compliments James, Led Zeppelin are a great band, I don't think I have quite the honour to be mentioned under the same light as someone by the likes of Jimmy Page. Thank you again! :) The hair is parted that way also because the fringe is steadily catching up to the back length :)
Kind Regards, James
James,
That's some brilliant progress that you have, especially for fourteen months of growth! Your hair looks gorgeous, and I hope that it continues to bring you joy. As a side note, I am looking forward to Autumn, as it means less heat and more cold weather, which I much prefer! :p All the best wherever you go!
С уважением,
Venya
Thank you Venya, I too prefer Autumn to Summer, the whole feel of this season just has something special to me, summer is far too humid and hot for my liking lol :P
Kind Regards, James
Looking awesome! You have quite a promising journey ahead of you regarding your hair. The thickness of your hair is magnificent. I like your hair (pony)tailed particularly. J.M.M.
Thanks J.M.M :)
Kind Regards, James
Hey James,
That is some frackin' awesome hair you've got there. Looks incredibly thick, I know the "taming" part all too well. It's great you are enjoying it though, despite the little impracticalities.
Keep it growing mate,
Neil.
Thank you mate, everyone seems to be liking the thickness lol.
Kind Regards, James
Brilliant mate, looking really fantastic, you have lots of thickness there, cheers dude.
Keep rocking'
Dave
