Hey folks! Yesterday I decided that I would trim the ends of my hair, because they were nasty and stiff. Just did it today, since my italian class has been called off. Trimmed about an inch of hair, below is the result, when damp and dry. My ends are much healthier now, and I feel my hair thicker. My goal now is waist-length hair, I hope to get there in a year or so. I'm also planning to start on biotin soon. Do you guys have any tips for it?
Once again, I thank this community for the support it has been giving me. You guys surely helped me out more than anyone else.
Big hug to you all, and have a nice weekend.
Hi Andy
i have to say, your hair looks in great health!...it is just as glossy in the "dry" picture and you have a really thick mane going on dude!.....well done.
Only been growing my hair for 3 months from shaved but i did ask about Biotin on a previous thread and received some great advice!....take a look as there are too many opinions to repeat here.
Once again....great hair and i'm convinced waist-length won't be a problem for you

don't grow up...grow down instead

Your hair looks perfect. Your hair care routine is working well for you. I don't want to burst your bubble, but it will take you 2 to 3 years to reach waist length. It is hard to tell since curls hide length. Also height is a factor. The taller you are, the longer time it takes to reach waist length.
In addition to biotin I take saw palmetto, MSM, and lecithin too. All 4 are good for hair. I recommend all of them.

Hi Andy, Good to get back to discussing long hair without the politics!!! You have amazing healthy hair great curls and fantastic potential for reaching your goals. Biotin, MSM, Saw Palmetto all helpful, and used by many of us to maintain and enhance hair health and growth. Best regards, Ian
I take biotin but have only been doing that for a month or two so far, so it's hard to tell yet it if helps. I also take a number of supplements listed on the link below.
Amino Acids for faster hair growth
1000 mcg of Biotin per day is enough. You won't see results right away, but after about a month or so you may see results. Biotin is supposed to be good for hair, skin, and nalis (it really make my nails healthy), and is very inexpensive.
Your hair is amazing!!! :) You did a good job trimming it.
... Feel free to! LOL, joking, though it would save me a lot of time growing it ;). As I stated in other post, I got a salon trim, quite a thrill to be next to scissors again! I'm going to buy biotin on the next week. When results kick in I shall update again.
Hugs and love,
AndyBeta
Hey Andy, Nice curls!!!
peace, jonalbear
Hi Andybeta,
It's very satisfying when you get a trim and the hair feels so much healthier and thicker at the ends, isn't it. Unfortunately, I can't really give you any advice about growing waist length hair since my hairs terminal length is way before waist. Oh well, I'm sure you'll get plently of advice from the others :)
Take care,
Neil.
Hey people! Thanks to you all for the comments, tips and everything. I would only like to explain something that came out wrong. I actually got a trim at a salon, with a lovely hairdresser, that trimmed exactly like I wanted. I'm not confident enough to trim my own hair now, but next time I will give it a try.
Once again, thanks, and have a nice weekend.
Hi AndyBeta,
Sorry for taking this long to respond but better late than never:)Your hair looks great and if you do go for waist length that would be awesome!I certainly think you have it in ya so good luck with that and do keep us updated.I have been using Biotin for maybe about six months now and can honestly say I'm not sure yet if I'm getting any benefits. With supplements that's the way it goes sometimes but I will continue to use it being it can't hurt.Other than that getting reading to enjoy the Labor Day weekend and no Hurricanes during this one:)Cheers and hugs my friend.

Andy the hair looks great!! You're waves are similar to my own---I gave up on trying to keep it looking straight-now I just add mousse and let it do whatever it wants to do-it's a lot easier than brushing it and then having it get wavy again...The length looks amazing and so does the health of the hair. I believe in trims every couple of months because I rather have healthier hair then ratty ends. Geek it growing man!
Great Job Andy, looks really cool.
Cheers Dave
