hi all
just wanted to say thanks for everyone's response to my ill-mannered rant previousley!
it has become clear to me that growing my hair is important but i don't need to take life so importantly too!
This hyperboard really is my only positive support system and I guess I wrongly got too protective of it......sorry for any offence, certainly didn't mean it and I appreciate ALL of the topics on here..hair or not.
A rookie mistake.....but I'll keep on growing!
Thanks everyone, couldn't do this without you all!
Scott from Nottingham
Personally, I didn't think your earlier post was "ill-mannered" at all. You were just concerned that some posts on the board were negative and off-topic. But hey, I'm a rookie here too!
BTW, your hair is looking good. It'll soon be at that "awkward stage" but looking back I kinda also fondly remember it as the *exciting* stage - the point where you really do start to realise that your hair is much longer than before and from then on the only way is up (or more literally down :).
Greetings from a fellow Brit.

hey don't forget me down in Bristol :)
Anyway, its great to have you both aboard, we're all brothers here, and you two have some terrific times ahead, I remember my first time growing out and every month brings something new, its exciting definitely.
Cheers guys
Dave
must admit....already life-changing, just knowing i'll never have a shaved head again and it will only get longer (baldness allowing of course!)
cheers Dave

Hi Scott,
Don't sweat it as I like your enthusiasm about becoming a longhair and I hope your dreams are achieved. The hardest part likely will be negative comments that might be thrown your way but thankfully you have mlhh to turn to.Way back in the stone age, when I first started growing my hair long,I didn't have an mlhh because it didn't exist then. All I had was my inner desire to have long flowing locks:)Thankfully my dreams came true and now I can enjoy the fruits of my labor.I wish you the best in your journey my friend.Cheers
Mark
thanks Mark
Like you said, I am passionate about my hair journey...a lifetime of conforming has fueled this I guess, but it's great to know there is support here my friend.
Thanks for everything
scott
As they say Down Under, "No worries, mate!"
You weren't all that ill-mannered, anyway -- and that was HARDLY a "rant!" (You should see me when I rant... Oh, wait a minute: I guess you already have - LOL)....
By the way, in all seriousness, I truly do love the "fuzzy-head" look. I always have liked it, especially in comparison to the buzzed off look -- although I confess to liking far better the hair dragging on the floor and getting caught in the door look (LOL)!!

lol..cheers Ken
loving the change in my hair, its pretty thick so does "mess up" very well, hopefully it will very soon start looking like hair again!...seem to remember my hair gets shiney as it lengthens...so it's all good.
Looking forward to your next rant!
