Hey everyone. Over the past year I kept "wanting" to grow the hair long, but I kept getting trims to even it out, and obviously nothing came of it. I stopped cutting it 3 months ago and it got to a nice enough length (for now). Thing is, that the front and top are much longer than the back, and I feel it will grow out and look very disproportionate. What do you guys think?
I'll post 4 separate pics in 4 responses.
Looking good in my opinion. It may feel weird now (just because the hairs in back literally are short), but once it grows out for a year or two it should even out, your bangs still don't seem like they'd drop lower than the hair in the back, in spite of the length difference.
Looks to me like your are starting your long hair journey from a great position. Your hair looks thick and shiny but the most important thing is no more trims. The length should even out as it grows and you have the potential - if that's your goal - for great thick and healthy mane.Good luck - and keep us posted. Ian
Looks to me you have made a good start growing your hair long but, as you know, trimming it will slow the process if not stall it altogether. You will soon enter the awkward stage where it will seem your hair is totally unmanageable but as it lengthens things will settle down:)Best advice is to give it time to grow without cutting then once it starts going down you back you could possibly do a light maintenance trim if something needs evening out.Looks great now as long hair will look awesome on you:)Do keep us posted my friend.Cheers
Mark
Your hair looks great I like the length and the slick look, plus your facial hair is nice.

hi there
you seem to have great hair!...and it would be a shame to cut it in any way, i figure the best way to let your hair grow is to never cut it!.....your style means that a lot of the hard work is already done, your "fringe" or bangs are the last to reach ponytail status but you have a huge headstart here.
Keep it up dude...the folk on the MLHH are very supportive...best of luck

The best way to grow your hair is not get it cut until you
reach your desired length.
Keep it growing, it looks great now.

Your hair looks good. It would be best to avoid any trims for a long time. Just let it grow.

Hi unrealxXx,
You have an excellent head of hair to work with, thick and in good codition, and your journey is progressing very well. My advice is just to totally avoid those scissors!
Keep it growing,
David
I agree with the above! If you mess with the top and front it will just take longer to get past the messy stage and to the stage where it can be tied back, should you wish to. Try and leave it uncut. In the meantime use gel or some product to tame it if necessary
Best of luck, Andy
