I really wish I had straight hair!! My hair is very wavy/ slightly curly, very big and bushy and to top it all off I have many cowlicks on the top of my head that make my hair point towards the front of my head!! Talk about crappy hair!!!! I'm almost at 8 months and my hair still doesn't even get to my eyes (well it's almost to my nose when I pull it but I can't walk around pulling my hair) Oh and what a mess when I wake up or after I take a shower/wet my hair! The top of my hair goes crazy and starts curling up all over the place while the sides stay normal so I end up looking like some crazy stalker freak!! AHHHH!!! Ok sorry, I just had to say this.
Endurance and perseverance is the key, man. Hang in there for another year or two and more than likely you will be happy with what you have achieved. KEEP UP THE FIGHT, DUDE!!! I am, and my hair is also thick as a hedge!
Wear a beanie or a bandana, it will make you look MORE like a crazy stalker freak, but it will help with your hair :-)
I know this has no relevance to anything, but this is a great pic of Amon Düül II, that guy with the glasses and longhair looks like a child molestor, and check out that bald guy with long hair
If you can hang in until it gets long enough to pull into a ponytail
you will really enjoy your long hair much more. Well, at least I did
after the "awkward" stage because it sounds like your hair is about the
same as mine.
Dude my hair was the same way. about the first year i started growing it out it was pretty much an afro. But if you just stick with it'll start weighing down and it looks a hell of a lot cooler than straight hair.
Dude get a perm, even out the waves all over your head and it will make the growing out easier. I have the same hair, and I get a body perm every 5 months and I find it so much easier to work with
well I wish my hair was at least slightly wavy or curled. you'll probably get really good looking hair once it's long!
thanks for the tips guys. Don't worry, no matter how crazy my hair may get I will NOT cut it, I want long hair way too bad to give up.
Right on, bro! I believe it to be a non-negotiable fact that once a guy has that genuine desire to become a longhair, no matter what he says or does about his hair, he will always want it long. I am a living testimony to this fact. I have read one message on this board (see: i just cut my hair - Clovis) that said he cut his hair and that he likes it better that way because of low maintenance and all that jazz and that long hair just wasn't for him. But mark my word, he will be back on here with a new attempt at it. Because he has been bitten by the desire once and it will forever be a nagging factor in the back of his conscience every time he looks in the mirror and runs his hands over his short hair. Keep that name Clovis in mind and see if I'm right(unless he changes his screen name, of course)! KEEP GROWIN',BRO!!!!!
I find that long hair is much easier to look after: I reckon mine takes about two minutes a day to look after. How much time do you spend on your hair every day?
Sadly about a half hour. That's because my hair isn't incredibly long and it has really strange wave in some parts. Sigh.
Just hang in the, man!!! I promise it will get better the longer it gets. I have super wavy-curly hair also and used to do all kinds of things to make it straighter like wearing a hat everytime I got out of the shower for instance. Now I don't do anything to it and it stays down. Your hair will never look as long as it really is but I still would rather have wavy or even curly hair than have boring stick straight hair.
I like wavy/curly hair, it has a mind of its own. Always changing. I guess it will be easier to accept it when it's longer. Some people with straight hair wish it wouldn't just hang there and not do anything. I hope you'll come to like your hair, I think you will.
Heh i found that quite humerous. Just imagine someone goin around constantly pulling their hair in their eyes.
I have the same problem though. My hair is a LOT longer than it actualy looks, the waves like shrink it when its dry.
