Was checking in for a doctor's appointment yesterday, and one of the receptionists asks the other "did you see his ponytail?". She replied "no", so I reached around my neck and pulled my tail out from behind and out to the full extent of my arm. The second lady kind of jumped in her chair and said "wow", followed by a short discussion of how long I'd been growing it. Just found her reaction amusing.
On a side note, I now have surgery scheduled for the middle of October that will hopefully fix my hip problem, so I can get back to walking like a normal human. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Hey there Mr. Frodo,
Always great hearing from you!! (And yes, I did see your fun reply to my comments way down the page now - thank you!)
Isn't it fun to hear reactions aloud like that when out and about in public? I always get a kick out of it myself, and treasure every crazy comment! (LOL)
I hope your hip surgery goes well. As I was just commenting to Pat S, above, it's amazing how much progress has been made in the medical field. Operations that 10 or 20 years ago were considered very complicated and to be greatly feared, are today much more smooth-sailing to have to go through, as well as they let you go home so much quicker, too!
Anyway, my best to you -- and keep that terrific mane of yours forever growin' & flowin' towards the floor!!
