I'm going through a rough time with repossession and things at the moment so I thought I'd compile an image of a brief history of my hair journey to relieve the stress. Hair is one of the few things you get for free and it gives me a lot of pleasure!
1. Found a pic of me at around 20 years old. Can I recapture a bit of my lost youth?
2. Me in 2008 with the boring short hair I'd had for yonks.
3. At the office Xmas party 2009 wearing a wig. It got compliments and started me thinking - maybe I should try to grow my own hair again.
4. Back to reality two months later. Hiding my real hair under a baseball cap. But at least I had not had a haircut and had started to grow it. (No, I'm not actually drowning my sorrows in alcohol. That's apple juice!)
5. Still under a cap but hey, you can see it getting better!
6. Driving licence photo. No chance of hiding it under a cap.
7. By this time - just over a year since I started growing my hair - baseball caps were starting to look silly. Beanie time!
8. Getting better ...
9. Finally! It was looking decent enough to dispense with beanies. Okay, my face is no longer as cute as it was when I was 20 but on the plus side, my hair is actually longer!
10. Me in July 2011. Sorry about the fuzziness. I've only got a crap webcam at the moment.
My hair is now well past shoulder length. I don't want it much longer than that. It's just about right the length it is now. And I totally LOVE it!
It's amazing what pleasure you can get from something that is totally FREE!!!
