It was a few years ago, that I actually managed to grow my hair for a good few months. Of course I got it cut, and do I regret it! It would have been well long had I not cut it. But now...actually it's been for a while that I keep getting this urge to grow my hair again, but keep getting them cut. How did you manage to keep yourself motivated? Is it actually worth the wait? (1 and half years or more?) I might put pictures up later of when it was abit longer and now that I have it cut, but first I want to see if I'll be able to delete posts.
Thank you,
Rufus
You wamt motivation?.
Start out by looking at the picture of Patrick Mercier below.
Look at some of the other pictures posted. (Read: HairFreaky

Hi Rufus,
To keep motivated to persevere in hair growing without giving up and cutting it, you can find inspiration in a number of ways. People around your locality or friends that you see regularly who have long hair, Watching films like Lord of the Rings or Conan the Barbarian where long hair is prominent, or simply sticking up pictures onto your wall at home of people from this board or celebrities with a similar hair type to yours who have grown long hair successfully and use them as role models when you get annoyed by a bad hair day. After 18 months or when you can mostly tie back the bulk of your hair in a tail then it does get a lot easier.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Duncan
You wouldn't need any motivation if you had your personal beliefs together about it. You need to thoroughly examine why you cut your hair. I'm not meaning to sound nasty. But if you dealt with what in your mind stands in the way first, you would be well on your way.
