I had long hair about four years ago, then submitted to pressure and cut it. For reasons rather undefinable, I want it long. Now I've let it grow for a year again and am pleased with it. I won't be cutting it unless I want to from now on. People raise the issue with me once in a while, but I really consider that to be intrusive, rude and none of their business. I live in conservative Utah and am a Mormon. This is probably why I get hassled about my hair.
Good for you. I say the heck with what other people think, its you hair and your head grow it as you see fit and wear it proudly. As if God would condemn someone for their hair, it's silly really.
Regards,
Jeremy
Where you live and what your spiritual status is are not the only reasons you're getting hassled about your hair--my guess is that it's because people simply can't mind their own business. That's been the issues that have plagued me the most, at any rate. Hang in there and good luck!

Hi Jeff, I've been there a few times throughout my life and always been sorry when it's been cut - sometimes for reasons out of my control. The great thing is, it grows again. So enjoy your new long hair and resist all the pressures to have it cut against your will. Good luck, Ian
