Well, I had a 1" trim about a month and a half ago. It's really thick so splitting never seems to be a huge issue, but it does take longer for length since it's wavy/curly. If pulled straight, it's mid-back.
It seems like there is no growth, although it's hard to tell when long. Hopefully I'm not at maximum length yet. I'm looking to go as far as lower back if possible.
Routine: I just wash once a week with shampoo with near daily rinses. I use olive oil on the ends. I never use hot water, or blow dry except for no more than 5 minutes if heading outside during winter.
Thanks for a great board and all your posts!
Cool hair SoulSpin, great texture, nice length - you have the same washing regime as me, it really works for me and also you it would seem :)
I like the colour in the picture too.
cheers Dave
Yeah, and your hair looks to be of similar texture. Yours is looking good, as you've achieved some great length. Mine just gets dry if I wash with shampoo more often than that. Thanks for the feedback!
Good to see your progress picture and what a great head of hair, good length, great curls and colour - keep it growing! Ian
Thanks, IanB! I've seen your progress as well and it's looking good. Take care.
Wow!! Awesome head of hair. I really like the curls. How long have you been growing it out? Great work, keep it growing.
Well, about 2 (plus?) years ago I got it cut about an inch above my shoulders. I would say it's been a normal 6" per year.
Thanks for the encouragement!
Nice thick and healthy head of hair. You should be good for more length for sure.

I certainly hope so! Just takes a little longer without straight hair, plus it's harder to tell. Thanks!
Hi SoulSpin,
What a great update, and you are blessed with a truly outstanding head of thick curls. I look forward to your future progress!
Keep it growing,
David
Thanks, man!

Your hair looks great. Due to curls, your growth progress may seem slow. At some point, gravity will start to pull it a bit straighter and progress will seem faster. Low back is a good goal length.

Thanks for the info. I was kind of hoping that would be the case, when the weight of longer hair would offset the curls. Thanks!
Man your hair looks great. If I didn't brush mine it would be wavy but nowhere near as much as yours. I hope you'll be able to grow it as long as you want.
Thanks for the encouragement!
