hi guys
I have so much to thank this hyperboard for.....just 4 months ago I was the usual shaved head everyman, but your inspiration has given me the strength to leave my hair and let it go (4 month update in 10 days)
And this has given me the confidence to do other things i've always wanted to do...and to be who i've always wanted to be too!
Hence my first ever tattoo, a simple cross design, one that I have always liked since I can remember....anyway, I thought I would share this with you all, you guys are the reason I have finally got this done.....it's 3 hours old and I love it!
Thanks all

Personally I feel tattoos, when done well, are a wonderful example of freedom of expression and artistry. I have one decent sized one myself and plan on getting many more. I typically see art, tattoos included, as something that should give a glimpse of the sublime and be beautiful and not crass. Granted beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but a decaying skull on top of a half naked girls ass to me really lacks key elements to make it art, instead of merely a tattoo. Here is the one I got, it is a memorial tattoo for my father, I designed it and then let the tattoo artist make his changes and have been thrilled with the results. I love the colour, the flowers and the concept I chose for it. My dad had a Mr. Planter's Peanut on his arm coloured green, like a pickle, because that is my last name. So I followed the same idea and took the Mr. Planter's Peanut and made him a pickle and put the scroll and flowers around to liven it up. here are the pictures.

hey Ziggy
couldn't agree with you more, after all, why put something on your skin that you don't consider beautiful or meaningful to you?....
I love your tattoo, and clearly has important meaning to you.....
Cheers

other two angles coming up
here is the last angle, I added the martini glass for some class. I mean come on a pickle with a manacle and a top hat, has so much class already.

Ziggy- great artwork!!
Love the tattoo! Wicked! I've been seriously thinking about getting one myself.
Congrats on having the courage to emerge from your clone shell and express who YOU want to be. You're totally right about the connection. As hair expresses your individuality and personality, so do tattoos and piercings.
You've started on an exciting journey of discovery - the TRUE you. Most people never have the creativity, imagination and balls to do it. I'm with you all the way!
