Yepp, that's right...
It has been a whole year (give or take a few days) that I last had my hair cut.
Feels great, especially when its loose and I can feel the weight of it waving around with the wind. It's still a bit annoying when it blows all over my face, but I've learned to tolerate it.
It doesn't 'all' reach all the way to the back, but I usually only wear it caught while I'm at work. And if I tie it up a little higher, like in the photo, you barely notice it.
It's been relatively 'low-maintenance' so far, but I'm still careful...
I usually condition it every day, rinsing it with cold water. I only shampoo it 2 or 3 times a week. I just wrap a towel around my head (like a Sikh ) for a few minutes, to soak in most of the water, and then let it air dry.
I've been using a leave-on spray conditioner by Schwartzkopf, The "Gliss Oil Repair". It leaves the hair a bit heavy at first, especially if you spray on too much. But once you balance it out, it feels nice, and leaves the hair nice and shiny.
After one year of letting my hair grow, and even after a 'betrayal' trim (for a job interview, it was worth it though) I'm loving being a longhair so far.
Loving it! =)

Ey, Gon;
Looking good, mate! Your ponytail has a pretty curl to it, and itd be cool to see what it looks like when its down. ^_^ What a stepping stone, though! :D I can only imagine what its like. Ive had longer hair that tickled my bare back while shirtless in between school years, and it feels great! Wait till you get to braid length and a long swishy ponytail and the general consensus of longhair status. : )
Best of luck!
Regards,
Venya
Thanks for your comment ^_^
Oh, yea... it feels great! it does that little curly part cuz the whole hair has a mild waved pattern to it...
Not entirely wavy... but a curious in-between.
Can't wait to have it grow more! I'm aiming for 'mid-back'... maybe try for 'classical' length after that. I'd say that its a good place to 'start' ^_^
Cheers
Hi Gon,
Thanks for sharing your update and your routine. It is working well for you as your hair is looking great. It'll look and feel better as the months pile on the inches! Good luck, Ian
