Hey guys,
I know its been over a week since I returned from California but late last week my good friend, KeninSF, sent me a bunch of pictures he had taken during our trip to Point Reyes.I don't want to steal his thunder should he want to post them but I liked this cool shot he grabbed of Scott and myself doing some serious working out!LOL.I bet your jealous of my biceps!Ha Ha!Don't think I'll win any bodybuilding competition anytime soon.Anyway thanks to Ken for your photography and work as my tour guide. Now its back to reality for all it's worth.Booooo!
Mark
Nice pic Mark. I hope that the "barbell" is still attached because Scott appears to be wincing! I'm headed to California myself in mid-November for a week of work, but I'll be over in Davis.
Hi LMD,
Don't worry as Scott's ponytail is attached so no worries there.I'd love to be back in California as I hated to leave last week.Did get to meet up with a bunch of the guys:)Do enjoy your trip back and try and have some fun even though you'll be there for work.
Mark
Great shot of you both. You look so much like an old college classmate of mine in that shot.
You mean there is another one like me running around? What is this world coming to!LOL.Well, hopefully that's a good thing.
Mark
Hi Mark, great shot, and what you may lack in biceps, you more that make up for in hair! Ian
Hi Ian,
I'll take that as a compliment and run with it!LOL.Actually I'd rather have bigger hair than bigger biceps anyday:)Cheers my friend.
Mark
Your biceps look fine to me. Hey, they're bigger than mine anyway! :)
Plus being tall and lean makes you look totally fit. That's the look I'm going for myself. Along with the hair growing I also got myself back to a 30" waist. I wanted to wear a wide studded belt for the rocker look but I figure they only look good if you got the body for it.
Your total look is well cool, mate!
Damon

Hi Damon,
Well I guess there is a little something going on with my biceps but proportionally I guess they match my tall and lean body.I have a studded belt with black pyramids, instead of the usual silver ones, which is really cool but I didn't wear it this particular day.I'm rooting for you getting back to that 30" waist and just as a reference those jeans I'm wearing are a size 27!LOL.Thanks for your reply my friend.Cheers
Mark
Whoa! Size 27"!!! In my dreams! But maybe I'll get to 28" if I give up eating altogether. :)
I'm 6'1". I reckon you're about the same give or take an inch?
Damon
--------------------------------
Yea, a size 27!lol. Your guess is close as I'm 6'3" so close to your height.I'm sure you can reach your goal if you put your mind to it Damon:)That would be hair wise as well as waist wise;)Cheers

The amount of iron you are pumping is in microgram amounts. (Hair contains a trace of iron.) I sure did enjoy your visit and hopefully you will return again for another longhair get togther.
Next time you visit, maybe I could give you a tour of the East Bay.
Scott
Hi Scott,
Leave it to you educating me that hair does have some iron in it!I never would have known until you mentioned it so in a way my subject title is correct:)
It was great seeing you guys when I was out your way and when I return an East Bay trip may be bin order.I'll certainly keep you posted.Cheers my friend!
Mark
Great photo Mark and both heads of long hair look great! Hope you are somehow able to move to the West Coast, and the sooner the better! All the best-
Justin~
Hey Justin,
Thanks for the compliments but be careful as you may give Scott a big head!LOL.
Every time I fly back east its soooo depressing landing in Newark:( So this time not only was it dark but raining too.I think I'm going to have to be more aggressive if I am to make this relocation possible.Obviously the major sticking point is the work situation.I'll certainly keep you posted when things develope. We are due for another phone chat BTW so I have that on my list also:)Cheers my friend.
Mark
Oh wow Mark. Do I EVER hear you! I can remember the 1st time I came out here from Connecticut in the 80's. I couldn't believe it and knew right away that I wanted to live on the West Coast. I was SO sick of the nasty Winters and hot very polluted Summers. So, within 6 months I had relocated and have never looked back. I had to return once in 1992 however. 1-1/2 weeks there was the most depressing thing and I couldn't believe that I had allowed so much of my life to have been wasted living there. In my case, the work situation which was all self-employed in a number of musical areas had to rebuild. But, I somehow made it and no regrets. Take care Mark and until later.
Justin~
ps: I am thinking of a rare trip to sf. (And this has to do about Antique Reed Organs with a fellow down there that has over 500!) Well, if I don't go, 500 Reed Organs are not exactly going to come running the 550-600 miles up here to see me. LOL I would no longer fit in with the Long Hairs of the area however, but just maybe a few would agree to meet me? It isn't exactly as if I cut my hair off on purpose, no way. If those 2 events had not happened, it would be just as long today. I have never been to sf. Only further down the coast. (Santa Cruz, Davenport, Pescadero, Monterey Bay, and San Jose which I seem to remember is about 40 somethinmg miles inland.)
Hey Justin,
I admit there is something magical about the west coast as compared to the east coast. You always hear people bring up the earthquakes but hey,you have to live life and anything could happen to anyone at a given time when your number is up.If it wasn't for work I am free to move anytime I want being I have no real ties here anymore.I would kind of miss NYC as I do enjoy visiting Manhattan but I'm sure I'd get over that.
It was interesting reading all those towns in CA you mentioned visiting in the past.I was in everyone of them
this trip out with the exception of San Jose and Monterey
Bay.I have been in those towns on past trips though. It would be cool if you traveled south at a time I'm back out west.I'd love to visit Oregon but I only have a week of vacation whenever I'm out west so I stick close to the bay area.I stay with my brother while there.Hopefully when you come to the bay area you land a great reed organ as a reward:)On a final note I'll always consider you a longhair god even though your mane is much shorter now.Great longhair doesn't always have to be to the floor my friend!LOL.Take care Justin. We'll chat soon:)
Mark
Those are some pretty heavy weights that you're lifting there, Mark -- and if Scott grows any more length to that mane of his, that might be your final limit (LOL)....
That was a heck of a lot of fun that day up at Point Reyes -- and no worries about you or Scott or Bill posting any of the pics you'd like to from that day-trip, go right ahead (it might take me awhile to get around to it at all myself).
Anyway, looking forward to your next visit out West here, as it's always a good excuse for me to play San Francisco tourist myself!
Long Lox 4ever,
Ken
Hi Ken,
Well it was very educational for me to learn from Scott that there actually is some iron in hair!Go figure.LOL.
I loved meeting up with the gang as it really is becoming a tradition whenever I'm in the area:)Point Reyes was fun but we need to do more hiking in the future but looking at a map its amazing how vast the park is.It would have been interesting to make it to the shoreline.
I do appreciate your tour guide skills while I'm visiting as you have great knowledge of the city.Actually I'm starting to get the hang of it myself with every trip I make in town.SF truly is a very cool city:)Catch ya later my friend.Cheers
Mark
Wow, the color of your hair is gorgeous! Very lucky man.
Is it some kind of dye or coloring? It looks different than in your avatar, but that could be any number of things from the lighting to the camera.
You two look like you're having a ball, very jealous! :)
Hi random,
Thank you for the compliments as they are much appreciated. You are very observant as my avatar does
indeed look different from this recent pic.And for very good reason because back in August I did a full Henna treatment to my hair which made it this color:)I've gotten nothing but positive comments both online and in the real world so I guess it was a good decision to do it.Last month I was traveling in sunny California and met up with some local guys from this board. It was great fun as I so miss being out west.Hope all is well with you and thank you for your post my friend.Cheers
Mark
