Thanks to Mark (Hairball) who took this pic of the back of my head, I've learned an interesting photography trick here: if you know you're going grey, yet still want your photos to keep you "forever blonde", just have all pics taken of yourself in the late afternoon, especially if close to sunset time -- as you can see by this shot, it works like a charm!!
It was a great joy & privilege to have Mark come out West here for another visit to the San Francisco Bay Area, as it gave me a good excuse to play "tourist" in my own city!
Another interesting thing about this photo is that my shirt matches the color of the Golden Gate bridge in the background EXACTLY... No, honestly, I did not "plan" this amazing color coordination -- the truth of the matter is that my other favorite shirts were all in my dirty laundry basket that day; so I had no choice other than to wear this rusty-brown colored one.... Ahhhh, I guess the goddess of tourist's luck must have been smiling down on me & Mark after all (LOL)!

Hi Ken,
Oh what a wonderful afternoon that was after we left the very hot inner city and reached the much cooler coast:)That was a great idea to stop down there late that day being it provided such comfort and a great photo op:)You look fabulous in this picture and look right at home 'On The Rocks"!LOL.Well, since SF is your home that statement rings so true my friend.Thank you so much for your time while I was visiting the area.Cheers
Mark
My pleasure, Mark, the feline is mutual (LOL)! Can you believe I'm finally off on a little vacation time myself this weekend? I'm attending the annual Sundance "Stompede" weekend of C&W dance events, plus just taking some time today to hang out with my brother -- something I rarely get to do much anymore, now that I usually work weekends.
Anyway, catch you later!
Long Lox 4ever,
Ken

Now I on the other hand have lots of grey hair at the ripe old
age of 57 and want to keep every single one of them.
I've earned every single gray hair every time someone said
i need a haircut.
So i'm looking forward to the day in the not too distant future
when my (hopeully) terminal length hair is all grey.
God gave me all this hair so by golly i'm going to grow as long
as possible even if it is all grey.
Amen, no problem there, and I feel the same way -- but I was just making a joke out of the fact that if I take pics of myself in the late afternoon, my hair color looks like it has more of my original natural blonde color whenever I do that, because the stronger intense yellow-orange coloring of the setting sun hides a lot of my grey hairs.
