Hi all you long haired hooligans, thought I'd drop by and share a picture with you all from a recent photo shoot I did with my band. The photo shoot is towards my media course at college, but I thought I'd show you all one in particular of just me :)
I recently purchased a new hat, which I'm wearing in this photo, it helps tame the volume of my hair during a typical college day, it's my way of getting past some of the little impracticalities that my hair bring everyday lol.
Thanks for reading, hope everyone is looking forward to Halloween :D And excuse my smoking habit :P lol
Kind Regards, James
Most here are not "hooligans". Speak (or write) for yourself.
I was just speaking humorously, no hidden agenda intended :) Just a simple word, no need to read too far into it.
Kind Regards, James
It is hardly a friendly thing to abuse people that you do not know, especially as you are not of long standing or especial seniority here.
I would not consider it abuse at all, no one seemed offended, you avoided posting a positive response to my thread and primarily set a negative tone that I believe most people on this board would disagree with strongly, it was a simple word and you seem to have taken it the wrong way. I feel you are focusing direct abuse at me for something of such small significance. I suppose information overload has effected some more than others these days :/
Kind Regards, James
Is that a joint (cool) or a cigarette (not so cool)?
Hi Jason,
I'm afraid it's just a rolled cigarette, I'm not cool enough for such substances ;) hehe
Kind Regards, James
hehe, IMO, if you're going to inhale smoke, you better get a good buzz from it!
Bad ass hair bro. Looking good.
Cheers Adam :)
Kind Regards, James
Hi James, Fantastic hair - in fact hair to die for, but not by smoking! Keep it growing. Best wishes, Ian
Thanks Ian, I really need to consider packing the habit in :)
Kind Regards, James
Very awesome hair James! The hat suits you well too. What type of music does your band play? - John in Denver
Thanks for the compliments John, my band play a variety of music, mainly more alternative stuff, such as rock and other sub genres :)
Kind Regards, James
Hi James,
What can I say other than you have the most awesome hair a guy could ever want:)Nice hat too but it covers your hair too much:(Of course I do understand the value in taming it so you can perform daily tasks where ones hair just sort of gets in the way!LOL.I do the same for work because it would be so annoying having my hair loose doing what I do for a living.Oh, and no problem with the hooligans reference as we actually have a casual dining restaurant here in the US that calls itself that.LOL.It's a very popular place and they make cool mixed drinks for the hooligans;)Finally not to harp on this but you should give up the smoking just for the sake of yourself.I say that as a friend BTW:)Cheers
Mark
Hi Mark,
Thanks for all the compliments, the hat does come in handy when at college for the day, of course, when I get home it comes straight off! lol
I am considering quitting, it's probably best tbh, I'll be healthier and the benefits would be nice :)
Kind Regards, James
Hi James,
That's a really outstanding pic of you there -- great hair, cool hat & jacket, nice expression on your face, and I'll just ignore the cigarette (LOL)....
Thanks so much for "checking in", as it's always nice hearing from you!!
- Ken in San Francisco
Thanks Ken! It's always nice to hear from you too, looking forward to your future updates :)
Kind Regards, James
Sick hair mate, how long you been growing it? It looks similar to
my hair but i would say mine is more wavy, just a few questions in regards to your maintenance what is your hair care regime and do you brush it dry? Its impossible for me to brush mine dry as it damages my hair. Also what products do you use? Check my hair out so you can see my type but It does look similar!

Hi Orion,
Thanks for the compliments, I've been growing it since February 2010, saying that though it wasn't what some would call short when I decided to go for super long hair. The fringe was above my eyes, it now stretches about 5-6 inches below my chin, and the back just itched my collar, it now lies at the bottom of my shoulder blades, so all in all, I'd hazard a guess at 25 months or so? I can't pinpoint it precisely, but I hope that will do :)
As for my regime, I don't do anything special If I'm honest, I wash it near enough every day, as I'm at college and I wake up looking like a wild wookie! lol I don't brush it when it's dry or wet, I just finger comb it and let it do it's thing :P I generally use Alberto Balsam herbal shampoo, it seems to do the job I want it to, hope this great wall of text answers all of your questions mate :)
And I just took a look at your hair, it looks great! Have to be careful not to get on the wrong end of that Stormtroopers gun! haha
Kind Regards, James
Greetings from a fellow long-haired hooligan! Your hair looks awesome. I wear a beanie a lot for the same reason: it helps tame the volume of my hair and makes a day more practical. I think it looks kinda cool too.
Good luck with the band. I see you're a Skid Row fan so I'm guessing that's the music genre your band is into too.
By the way, I thought your "hooligans" greeting was funny, friendly and laid-back - the complete opposite of offensive ;)
Damon

Hi Damon,
Thanks for the compliments as always, and glad to hear you got a chuckle out of my choice of greeting haha, I didn't mean it in an offensive manner, so it's good to hear I won't be having to stand in front of a judge anytime soon as a result! LOL
Beanie's are my personal favourite headwear, the new one in the picture was a long needed replacement for my previous one, which had gained a cult like status within my community lol, everyone was sad to see it go :P
As for the band, I'm sad to inform my musical tastes aren't the focus of my band's song choices nor style, the other two members opt for more mainstream, alternative rhythms, such as Arctic Monkeys and The Libertines. But it's all good :)
Kind Regards, James
