Here are just a couple of recent pics from my last ones a couple months ago, I have seen some nice growth. I seem to do a lot better with not washing, or even getting wet everyday. I just sleep with it in a ponytail, water down the wild parts and comb to my liking. I put a little pomade in the top to keep the broken ones down and that is about it.

Carl, that is *sweet*!!! Your hair looks soft and touchable! :) It is A LOT longer than in your avatar photo. Looks like you're taking really good care of it, and the waves are awesome! :)

ps. I don't remember if it was you exactly but I posted a girl with an awesome hair wrap a while back, and finally had one done myself. Kind of difficult to get used to but I love it none the less, it is vintage hippie and a girl at my work had one that her mom had made for her. I asked her to do one, even after the dreading affect I saw it did to her hair. I loved her mentality, concerning hair. I said to her that she would have to cut it when she wanted to get rid of it and she said "yeah I know." I mean she really sees hair as something that is alive and growing and changing. I'll post a pic of it soon.

Does it all fit in a ponytail? Do you have a back ponytail pic? Nice update!
Sadly it does not fit into a full ponytail as of yet. I mean that there are those fly-away strands that bug the hell out of me, I can do a mid-ponytail but still have a few fly-aways. I have not reached the small milestone that Ian has where he has it all into a pony and no fly-aways, lucky bastard *evil grin*, but it will be soon.

Dear god you look like a viking, I love the new avatar with your henna red hair *swoon*. I am starting to get the hang of it, although, I still have many issues that I wish I could fix but due to work I cannot. I just have to see hair as a living entity and see it's growth and flaws as a part of who it is. I have way more broken hairs than i would like, but due to me being in the food industry my hair always has to be up, and even with metal free hair bands and being gentle I still get too many broken hairs. A fact of life that I sadly have to deal with, but like Absalon said, a "short hair is a long hair in the process." So every broken strand will soon be a long hair if it is given time.

Thank you for your thoughts on my new avatar.I felt it was due for an update
being the other one was a couple years old and the fact I changed my hair color.Our tech guy is trying to work on getting the full image to show when the avatar is clicked on as that picture is very cool.It was taken last month when I was out in San Francisco visiting.I was on what is called Baker Beach.So hopefully our tech guy works out the full image details:)

How long have you been growing in this photo? I imagine my hair will look similar to yours in the coming months. I still have a long way to go to catch up, but I can imagine my hair is going to look very close to what yours looks like. I can't wait to get it that long. I'm a few days away from 9 months growth...update pics coming soon.
