Hello fellow longhairs, I saw something today that really saddens me. A tall guy with gorgeous long hair was pressured into cutting it on "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire". Originally they bargained with him to cut it only if he made it to the final round. Then the deal was negotiated all the way down to if he won 25,000 dollars to cut it. He won $25,000 on the very next question. At that point I flipped the channel rather than see his hair being shorn.
How long is it going to take for society to value long hair on men? I thought we were almost there, but I guess we are not.

Address complaints to ABC Disney. And remember this if you
think about watching shows on ABC, ABC Family, and Disney.
Good old Disney!
---------------------------
Yeah, good old Disney that does not allow long hair on most male employees. I don't watch ABC much.

I don't watch much on ABC except for a few game shows.

I don't know what differences the American version would have to the one here in Australia, but they'd probably be very similar (it is a format show after all). But what does answering questions to win money have to do with a persons hair? Making a request like that is completely outrageous and unreasonable.
-------------------------
Answering questions to win money has nothing to do with hair, and yes, getting him to cut it was totally unreasonable and inappropriate.

Hi Scott,
Personally I don't watch that program let alone anything much on network TV.There appears to be a lack of anything that interests me on the networks. What you described is disturbing as I always wonder why guys with longhair would even allow that to be negotiable.I bet they don't ask the ladies to make such a sacrifice.I think its part due to pure jealousy that a man can have gorgeous hair as that's not the way its supposed to be in their warped minds. This reminds me of a makeover show I used to watch called "Queer Eye For The Straight Guy"that would shear any longhaired guy they could get their mitts onto!Grrrrrr! All I can say is that I'd never agree to such a deal like that.

It is rare for women to be asked to sacrifice their hair, although MAURY POVITCH has crossed that line. This saddens me just as much as pursuading a guy to cut off his long locks.
Almost all makeover shows try to trap participants into cutting their hair. I don't watch those any more.
Scott
Yup, makeover shows are all about making participants conform to the norms of hairstyle and clothes in society. That supposedly makes them look 'better'.
Yeah right! 'Better' if you really want to look like a processed clone!
But hey, now that guy has his $25,000 (or whatever he went on to win after that), I'll bet he banks it with a shrug and just grows his hair back even longer than it was before. I hope so anyway!

Yeah, I went over to the World Series as soon as that Faustian deal was changed down to $25k so I would not have to watch.
Yes, I hate this crap too. All you guys need a copy of my book so that all of us together can promote the truth about long hair. First of all short hair is the leading cause of baldness. Secondly, longer hair is healthier in every way imaginable. I prove it in my book, which has received excellent reviews on Amazon and by Duncan who has thoroughly read it. The ammo in this book is a must. Currently, I am sending out press releases and am getting some bites. Hopefully by early 2012 it will be more well known. But I cannot spread the word myself. I need the help from everyone on this site. I am sick and tired of crop-heads forcing us to cut our hair. Personnally they disgust me. To them showing the nooks and cranies of the skulls, barber's rash, and pimples is somehow more attractive than long hair. How stupid. Please support Our LONG HAIRitage (click link).
Our LONG HAIRitage - new book promotes long hair
Hey it's so cool that you are posting in MLHH. I just finished reading your book and I liked it a lot.
Cheers, Isaac.
Thank you much Isaac. My hope is to help promote long hair everywhere. I will continue to post here and am glad this website exists. It's good not to be alone in this battle, which is completely unjustified by ignorant buzz-heads.

I just wanted to say, I am a female and have and will only date men with long hair, I find it extremely sexy, and love to get lost in it, it is a major turn on for me.. SO DO NOT LET ANYONE TELL YOU TO CUT YOUR HAIR, YOU WILL FIND THAT RIGHT PERSON THAT WILL WANT AND LOVE YOU FOR IT.
