Hey all, I was at a Halloween party last evening,which is rare as I usually don't dress up,and went as a Goth guy!LOL.I did my best interpretation of the look but it seemed to go over well.Actually it was fun being Goth as I always liked being dressed in black anyway:)Lots of the accessories I used was stuff I already had from my "metal" clubbing days.Just had to pick up that Goth style shirt as I had nothing like it.Anyway I know its a couple days early but Happy Halloween!Cheers
Mark
Hey Mark,
Looks good! Looks like black clothes with red hair provided a nice
contrast for Halloween festivities!
peace, jonalbear
Hi JB,
Well I wanted to be festive so I must have succeeded:)Hopefully I didn't scare any little kids!LOL.Cheers my friend.

Cheers Mark - You ol' Devil! Ian
`~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hi Ian,
Well I did think of being a Devil but did this instead.Maybe they are one of the same?LOL.Cheers
Mark
Mark,
you should consider joining the Goth community on a regular basis.
there are lots of guys with long hair who are goths
long hair is well accepted in the goth subculture!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hi Sean,
So you think I'd fit in?I guess they are around but have no idea where they meet unless its on the internet.That's cool they are accepting of longhaired guys as we do need more of that don't we:)Cheers my friend.
Mark
Mark,
You would definitely fit in imho!
do you have any Bauhaus?
if not, I highly recommend you get some music by them!
Bauhaus - Bela Lugosi's Dead
Hi Sean,
Thanks for that clip as I've never heard of them before but it did sound good to me.Kind of reminds me of how some metal songs that ran very long which is not a bad thing:)Sure beats pop radio of today which I don't even listen to anymore.I like unusual groups that unfortunately are hard to find out about other than word of mouth.Thankfully the internet helps but still recommendations,like yours,is how you learn about these cool bands.Cheers my friend.
Mark
I don't like pop music either especially what passes for "Pop" these days.
here is some info on them.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bauhaus_%28band%29
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bela_Lugosi%27s_Dead
""Bela Lugosi's Dead" is a Gothic rock song written by the band Bauhaus. The song was the band's first single, released in August 1979, and is often considered to be the first Gothic rock record released.[1][2] It did not enter the UK charts."
I think you'll probably love them once you get into them.
the band broke up in 1983 and three of the members went on to form Love and Rockets later on and the lead singer(Peter Murphy) became a successful solo artist. the band reunited in the late 1998 for a brief period and again in 2005-2008
here's another track by them released in January 1980.
Bauhaus - Dark Entries
Hi Sean,
Thanks for the link to that other song.I didn't realize, until you mentioned it,how long this group had been around.To think they started back when I was in High School but I never knew about them then.I'll have to check those other links too but thanks for the info.Cheers
Mark
The Goth look works well for you. However, I would love to see you in kilt and full tartan dress. You'd make a great Highlander.
Hmmmm, you got me to thinking as how I would look dressed like that.Sounds kind of cool but I'd have to do a whole new clothes shopping for that setup:)
Mark
I love it!
You're rockin the Goth look well.
The goth look goes well for you, Mark. The tattoos look real. It looks good with the red hair.
Scott
Hi Scott,
I guess the voting so far is that the "Goth is good" for this makeover.LOL.Now this is the kind of makeover that should be done for longhairs on those makeover programs:)Could also go Viking or even Conan.Maybe someone should tell them that.LOL.
Mark
You pull off the goth look well, Mark! The hennaed hair fits right in.
I've also been meaning to compliment you on your new avatar pic. It's really cool in every way.
Hi Jason,
Thank you for your compliments as until I made this post I never knew I was such a Goth!LOL.Maybe its the hair,the clothes I'm sure, or something else.
After I did the henna I knew it was time for an avatar update being the change was significant.Not much else changes about me so the hair color did it.The cool thing about the henna is that I can verify new hair growth easily just by seeing it at my scalp.At least I can honestly say my hair still is growing:)So why isn't it at my knees yet? LOL
Mark
Hi Mark,
My apologies for my late repaly to your post, and you really do an excellent job pulling off the goth look. This is really cool!
Also, I agree with Jason about the new avatar, and my apologies for not complimenting on it before now.
Take care,
David
