new thread
Hi everyone, once again another month flies by and I'm sat here typing away, posting yet another update. I believe this is the 20th month since my last haircut back in February 2010, and the 16th month of recorded progress.
As always I am enjoying the journey more and more as the months go by, and I have no intention of cutting my hair ever If I'm honest, I've grown too attached to my locks they have become apart of who I am. The last time I had a shaved head was sometime back in '06, the thought alone is enough to make my head spin lol.
I have attached two pictures as always, one with it in a low ponytail and one with it loose. I chose to avoid brushing for the update pics this month, so you can all get a clearer look at my natural hair texture :)

Your hair is quite amazing. It's got great texture and body to it, I don't think I've ever seen hair as full of life before. And I have to say, its a huge inspiration for me to keep growing my hair out again. Thank you for the awesome update :)

Looking good James. In my opinion the longer that thicker hair gets the more it begins to look really great and less of an afro look. It settles down more and I think becomes easier to manage. I too have hair your thickness in my youth and was called "the mop" at school.Now people call me Hagrid! Did you start out with curly hair before it got wavy or was it just wavy to begin with?

You have one thick bushy mane. The volume is insane. It must be hard to comb through it. What is your goal length? Waist lemgth or longer perhaps? Looking great.

Excellent progress for 16 months, your hair is almost as long as mine, and it took me 3 years to reach the stage you are at now. What point did you start from?

I read your post and I thought that I'd congratulate you on reaching your 20 month milestone. Your hair looks great!
I also agree with your sentiments. I have seven (7) months of growth; my hair is three and one halh (3 1/2) inches long and I'm loving it. I am beginning to feel it blow in the breeze and I can begin to finger comb it. It feel great and the longer it gets the more I like it. I figure that if my hair continues to grow at this rate by Sept. 9, 2022 it will be as long as my body.
