Mark and I finally were able to meet up. He's been visiting New England this week. We had a great time going to dinner and then hanging out. Of course, we had to take some pictures. Mark has fantastic hair and it looks like it has a long way to go in potential length too. It is such a cool thing to meet fellow members in real life after such a long time of only knowing each other online!
Excellent photos. That's awesome that you were able to meet up. You both have awesome manes. Very impressive. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! I met Mark on this board about 4 years ago so it was definitely time to meet in person. Great update of your own BTW. That combo of your thick hair that's now getting longer and your beard is awesome!
Nice!
It's great to finally meet one another in analog form. Great shot of two great heads of hair.
Give me a shout if you're ever in Dallas/Fort Worth Texas :-)
- Oren
Hey I just passed through there this summer! Alas, I was on an Amtrak train from California to Arkansas so didn't really get to check the area out too much. Went through El Paso, San Antonio (had an all-night layover there and got to see the Alamo), Austin, Fort Worth, Dallas and tons of countryside. It was my first time in Texas and I got to see plenty of it, a huge and beautiful state with lots of variety in terrain and climate.
Oh, and nice pics Jason and Mark. It's cool when people can make online friends into "real-life" ones.
Thanks, and I very much agree.
Thanks Oren. I've enjoyed seeing your meet photos over the years as well. I'll definitely give you a shout should I venture down your way!
Hi Jason,
This is awesome that you and Mark finally were able to meet up, and that you had such a grand time. I totally agree about Mark's hair, and it has such amazing thickness. Your hair really looks good these days, too, and is definitely getting longer, and the ends look better too! Also, cheers on the weight loss!
Perhaps if I get your way once again (who knows, possibly next year), we might have another meetup, and hopefully, Mark can be there too.
Thanks for sharing,
David
Hi David,
Thanks about my hair and weight loss! Yes, Mark's hair is incredibly thick and should have an excellent terminal growth potential.
That would be fantastic if you could visit again and see the three of us! Mark might be up this way too.
Best,
Jason
Cool dudes!! Awesome hair and great smiles!!!
Glad you two could meet!
peace, jonalbear
Thank you! We definitely had a good time.
Hi Jason, Great shots of You and Mark - thanks for posting. What a great idea that would be to organise members meets!
Best regards, Ian
Thanks, Ian. Yes, this board has great benefits beyond just the support for growing long hair.
Hi there,
Great to see another great board meet up.
You both have great heads of hair and nice that you both finally got to meet up. I hear there was some adverse weather up your part of the world Jason and hope the snow wasn't that bad.
Cheers,
John.B
Thanks John! Be sure to give me a shout if you're in this area!
There was some snow around my house but it was much worse just a few miles inland. Thankfully, there was no damage to my house or property and we didn't lose power. Thousands not too far away are still without it.
Hey Jason and Mark!
That is very cool you guys got to meet in person as that is one of my favorite aspects of the mlhh:)I have been fortunate to meet quite a few of the guys over the years and everyone has been awesome. There is a lot to be said of meeting face to face compared to just online. The internet is a good ice breaker but eventually its cool to see the real deal my friends:)Cheers
Mark
Hey Mark,
Thanks and I agree that meeting in person makes friendships deeper. If you're up in the New England area please be sure to look me up!
Two great manes. It sure is great to meet up with other MLHH members. I hope you guys had fun.
Scott
Thanks Scott. It was a lot of fun to see all the meet pictures you recently were involved in as well!
Amen, Jason, I agree!! Besides the obvious fun angle of seeing in-person the face & hair for the first time, to me one of the most fascinating aspects of a meet up is to finally hear the person's voice. That adds a whole other element of surprise to the meet up, and gives the friendship a brand new dimension to remember from then on...
Great pics -- and glad to hear that you two had a good time meeting each other!!
- Ken
Thanks Ken. I totally agree about it being fascinating to see and hear someone you've known so long online now in real life. I do believe that real friendships can be formed only through online contact but it definitely cements the friendship to meet in person.
Cool, really good to see people getting together having chatted on the board. I dunno how many of you remember SurferDude, but we got together for a drink years ago having first starting chatting via the board. So many of us are now connected via Facebook too, its really cool that the board brings together so many like-minded and like-haired people.
I remember SurferDude. I believe he used to have a website going for a while. Have you kept in touch with him? I wonder if he still has long hair. I agree that facebook is great too.
Very cool. You both have impressive and inspirational manes... thanks for sharing!
--Val
Thanks Val. If you and/or the family make the trek eastward, look me up!
Hi Jason and Mark,
I couldn't help smiling seeing the pair of you together. Both of you have amazing and fantastic manes of lovely hair and what a pair of happy looking longhairs. Both of you guys being metalheads would help cement the friendship. I'm guessing Jason is around 5'9 and Mark is 6'1? Get-togethers in person is a vindication of what this board is about, mainly developing friendships and connections with other like-minded people.
Cheers, Duncan (from the faraway ends of the earth Australia but with you guys in spirit!)
Hi Duncan,
Thanks! I agree about how meeting in real life vindicates the friendships formed and common interests between fellow members here. Yeah, Mark and I do talk about bands some and share similar views in other areas too.
If you ever visit the US, please look us up!
Jason
Great pics. I already saw the 1st of them on FB. I don't think you said on there who was visiting who, though, so now I know.
