My bangs/fringe are currently 6.5 inches long.. any idea how long before i can tail it?

How Fast Does Hair Grow?
This is, of course, the first question everybody asks!
Almost everyone's hair grows at about half an inch (1.25 cm) per month, though some guys will experience growth at as little as half that rate, and a few lucky men will see twice that or more. The usual growth rate works out to six inches (15 cm) per year. To really begin to look longhaired, you'll need at least nine inches (23 cm) of hair, so you are probably looking at a transition period of a year and a half. That is also about the length which you can put your hair into a ponytail, (9 inches) a milestone of passage for many. Most longhairs do not want to stop there, of course; many want about twice that length. This means your total growing out project will probably take two to four years.
So, given this info, you are 2.5 inches from that goal, and that comes to about a 5 month wait. Not so bad, huh? ...Keep Growing, Bro!
thanks, your write, not sooo bad i guess... was hoping id be able to tie it back when i go to uni which is 3.5 months away, i suppose when ill get there ill not have too much longer to wait
My hair is finally long enuf to do this with:
take the sides and make a tail at the back corner of your head on both sides, right behind your ears. Then take the top and make a tail in the back. Then take all three and make one big tail. it keeps the hair from coming down on the sides. if you've tried to make one big one with out doing this, you know exactly what i mean. you end up with a sorta cross on the back of your head, but i wear a ball cap and then it just looks like one tail. very good for summer heat.
