Hi everyone!
Well, this is my third or fourth update on the board now. Can tell that my hair is getting longer and heavier now every day :D . I quit letting my hair down freely because (besides the fact that we will be facing budget cuts coming at the end of this year, that) this last weekend pretty much my whole family - including my in-laws in China, were demanding that I cut off my hair :( ! So now it's in much of a ponytail... it all pretty much fits :p heh (lots of interesting reactions from the kids at school). My parents have backed off, but my wife is still at my throat about my hair, oh well ~_~ .....
This latest photo was taken after a day of work at school in a ponytail - a little straighter than previous photos since it was tied up in back during the day. For my hair routine, since I never mentioned it before... when I had my hair down, I was using Garnier Fructis Anti-Frizz Serum after each shower to make things look sharper (but now I don't have to worry about that much now :p ). Mane 'n Tail Shampoo and Conditioner (made in the U.S.A.) every night. For a comb, The Body Shop Wooden Detangling Comb. Biotin 5mg and Triple Omega 3-6-9 every day. That's pretty much it!
In a reply, I'm going to attach a four month comparison picture for fun. Hopefully my wife doesn't kill me enough so that I'm around for another month, so until then, keep growing it down and long everyone ^_^ ! Have a great Thanksgiving for those here in the states!
Sincerely,
yoshiki
Hi again,
Here's the four month comparison. Something that I can see in this photo and always watch, is that my hair gets lighter during the summer and darker during the winter. Of course this happens to many people, but is still interesting none-the-less ^_~ .....
Anyways, until later ^_^ ...
Sincerely,
yoshiki
Yeah, mine does the same and I've never quite understood that. Okay, I guess the sun bleaches it during the summer. Fair enough ... but why does it go darker again during the winter? After all, it's the same hair (hair lives for at least two or three years). So why doesn't it stay bleached?
Hmmm. The answer is probably obvious but I haven't figured it out yet! :)
Damon
----------------------------------
Hi Damon,
It's strange why it happens. There is someone I know who is (I believe) half Native American. When I first met him I never would have guessed because during the warm seasons his hair is bleach blond! When I found out he was Native American, I asked him why he beached his hair like he did and he told me it was all natural. Sure enough, by winter, his hair had transitioned to a nice dark color - then back again to a bleach blond when spring arrived. The wildest swing of color I've ever seen :o !!!
It'd be a nice way to always have a change and never have to worry about the roots showing, huh ^_~ ?.....
Sincerely,
yoshiki
My hair does the same-in the Summer it goes pretty light and in the winter it darkens as well---when I lived in Florida, I was almost a bleach blonde lol...(I henna my hair and it still darkens in the cold months)
Very nice update, do you have a ponytail pic?
Hi Josh,
I'll try to get one this weekend when my wife is out of town - it's the only way I can get a photo of my hair without my wife knowing ~_~ . Sorry for the wait :( .....
Sincerely,
yoshiki
Hi Josh,
Here's a photo of a ponytail. It barely works, but works none-the-less ~o~ .....
Have a great day ^_^ !
Sincerely,
yoshiki
Very nice ponytail! It should be even nicer next month.
Yoshiki,
Your hair has the same waves and textures as my own...I remember that milestone clearly-when one's hair passes shoulder length...keep up the good work! (I also use Biotin in my hair regimen.
Hi Dee,
Thank you for the photo, your hear looks great! You're right, your hair and mine looks quite similar. Did you notice any change when you first started taking the Biotin?
I'm looking forward to when my hair gets to be like yours - when it doesn't quite bunch up around the shoulders (it goes past a bit, but still likes to bunch-up around that area) and hang down more freely. All part of the growing process, though ^_^ .
Thank you for the inspiration!
Sincerely,
yoshiki
Yoshiki---Thanks! Actually I did, my hair sheds a lot less and I noticed newer hair growth and it also feels fuller too...
I use mane and tail as well. From the picture, your hair looks good. I am a little confused on how you use mane and tail. Do you leave it in after a shower, leave it in without hair being wet, or use it as a regular wash out conditioner? The reason I am asking is because it seems to work better for you than me.
Sorry that your hair seems to be un-approved by your family. I am glad it is nor a problem at work though. I am kind of in the same situation. Whenever I go home, there is almost always some comment about my hair, but no one else seems to mind it; actually, I usually get complemented.
Hi Pearson,
I just use it as normal washout after soaping up my hair. I might leave just a sliver in, but it's just by accident :p . I think it's really great stuff, even my wife likes it :D (and that's rare). She was also surprised by how much you get for the price. Wish you better luck with it, man ^_~ !
And it is true there are quite a few of us who get the "trim up" treatment that we usually do... but I think that if we remain true to ourselves, we can't go wrong ^_^ .....
...most of the time :p heh (a.k.a. wife glares)~
Sincerely,
yoshiki
Hi Yoshiki. Great update thanks and showing real signs of growth. Don't give in to any outside pressures, if you want long hair - go for it. Good luck, Ian
Yoshiki, your hair has definitely grown noticeably longer in the past few months, and it is *gorgeous*!!! It looks very soft and touchable, and well taken care of. Sorry that you are getting flack from family, hope they back off with the disapproving and negative comments. I hope that *you* are enjoying your hair, and will be able to continue to do so. :) Thanks for sharing! :)
Looks nice yoshiki!
peace, jonalbear
Wow, Eric, you really have come far! Curly hair seems to have the remarkable tendency to hide a great deal of hair. As for the opposition from wife and family, never back down. Your hair's awesome! :D
С уважением, друг мой,
Venya
Hey Venya,
You probably thought that I had fallen off of the face of the earth and I was starting to wonder the same about you too, my friend ^_^ ! How are things recently?
Thank you for the compliments ^^ ! Some people say "curly hair is great" and all that, but it can be a curse when it wants to be ~_~ . My daughter has a bit of a curl to her hair with her genes, it doesn't work well with her texture of hair, if you know what I mean ;)
Anyways, the same with you - you never back down, either! With the forces that be, we'll have our day eventually :D . With the school year coming to an end here in about a semester and a little more - hope to be seeing more update from you, too, beribboned hair and all :) !.....
Вплоть до последующего, желая вам лучше всего!
Sincerely,
yoshiki
我不知道,你可以阅读或说中文吗? :p
Well, in quantum physics, it has been postulated that one of every hundred billion times, it is possible for a solid physical ob ject to vibrate (see: go through) the substring matter of another solid physical ob ject. I had considered the possibility that you had tripped into a wall and vibrated through it or some such. After all, what fool would believe that the demands of family and work would be limiting your computer access? :D
I hear you, man; I've heard stories about girls at my school with long hair, whom would straighten it daily to avoid the tribulations of tangly curly hair. My hair as it is will tangle to frustrating lengths after a night's sleep, so I can hardly imagine how difficult it may be for you. Nevertheless, curling or wavy hair can indeed be very appealing to the eye. ^_^
Ah, yes. How might you believe me, if I do not myself exemplify my own principles? :p I figured that one more year wasn't too bad, and so after that awful haircut was over, I just accepted the necessity of patience. But one day of late, it had truly come upon me that I would soon truly become a longhair in body as in mind! The idea is thrilling. And yes - I'm that my old school elegance with the ribbons will return come summer! :D
Seriously though, it's awesome to see you go from longish hair to hair that more than brushes about your shoulders. I sorta dislike seeing shorthaired update photos on here, what for the seemingly antithetical nature of them, but it makes a lot of sense to begin there, when one finally sees another come into longhair status.
And to believe that your journey is only beginning! ^_^
您和您的家庭最好的; 希望这台电脑翻译不辱这种语言! :D
Venya
Hi Venya,
至于中国的语言。。。我能理解一半以上。我可以讲一点点。我几乎没有任何可以阅读 :( 。不要告诉我,我侮辱的语言翻译机 :o ??!
Heh, well, it is true, family life does slow me down quite a lot - especially now that my in-laws have gotten visitor visas to come here to visit next spring :p ... but it's not only that, but it;s the tying that slows me down ~_~ ! I'm the four0-fingered typing wonder >_> . In school, they never taught us typing. When I grew up, the world was nearly post-typewriter and pre-word processing, so what goos was keyboarding for :p ? Oh well, I do ok as I do as I do it ^_~ .....
Although somedays I do feel like I've been run over, somewhat like quantum physics, I guess :p ~
You know, it's not only my journey, but both of our journey that's beginning when you think about it! I'm just beginning to grow my hair (pretty much), you're going to go all out from here on out (you should, hopefully, right?), so it's a shared road. Feel good about it, man :) !
As for the others that you mentioned, everyone need a place to begin and get inspiration. I know all of those years that I was forced a haircut upon, if it weren't for seeing a long haired classmate or a photo in a magazine every now and again, there wasn't much hope in believing that one day it would come true for me. So I can see where folks are sharing their passion for what they are striving for - as long as they carry through with it ^_~ .....
Well, anyways, Держите это растет и никогда не сдавайтесь ^_^ !
Sincerely,
yoshiki
Hi yoshiki,
Your hair really does look excellent, thick, healthy, and with wonderful colour as well. Keep up the good work with the growin'!
Keep it growing,
David
