I was searching Google for natural ways to control dandruff (I seem to get hit w/ it pretty hard during the winter time) and came across this article. The article discusses the no-poo method that some use. I heard mixed opinions on this. What do you guys think?

Works for some people. I'm not strict water only at the moment because I am too lazy to follow the routine that works. However, my routine involves a only small amount of very diluted shampoo.
My scalp really doesn't like products on it, or even product residue...that leads to itchiness and flakes. Any shampoo is on the hair only, not soaked down to the scalp. The scalp cleaning is by way of a strong spray of water. Finally a dilute vinegar rinse and a cool water rinse. Depending on conditions, do this once every 5-10 days. When I was strictly water only, I needed to do it twice a week. The routine is for the scalp, my hair is fine with pretty much anything.
It is not unusual to find that scalp issues can be changed or resolved by changing the washing method or products (or lack of).
It does work, but the beginning can be difficult.
Can't say either way if that is true or not since I've never tried the method on myself.I don't have the dandruff problem and currently wash my hair twice a week.Seems to work fine for me:)Cheers

Rubbish.
While I haven't tried not using anything to clean my hair, I have gone to shampooing only about once every 10 days or so, and just rinsing with conditioner in between. My scalp is a lot less itchy and flaky when I shampoo less and my hair seems to be in better shape since I'm not washing away all the natural oils.
The only way you're going know if such a plan will work for you is to try it. There shouldn't be any harm in not putting something on your hair. :-)

I'll give it a go. I can commit to 30 days.
