here is another pic of my hair brushed after henna---sometimes I wished my hair would stay like this brushed straight, but it doesn't last long, the waves kick in after a bit lol...I just have to live with with it--I don't think I would want to relax my hair or use a straightening iron,I heard to many horror stories....Guys do you think I should get a straight cut on my ends? Keep in mind my hair is wavy, so I don't thing it will stay...
Thanks in advance!
Dee.
NO STRAIGHT CUT! The differing lengths are much more interesting. It's got that merman look. hehe. It reminds me kind of of those 80s' rock styles - in the healthy, fluffy interesting ways.
Thanks Mark.C !
It seems to be getting wavier as it gets longer...Another pic with a straighter look...
Hi Dee,
I have to agree with John as I would let your hair do what it does best and not mess with nature. The only way the straight cut might work would probably be to constantly keep it straightened which you know would be bad for your hair.Just be happy that you have a nice mane and leave it at that. The henna is one alteration that is worth doing since I had experience with it as you know. Thanks for your update:)Cheers
Mark
Thanks Mark for the advice!
Dee.
Straitening irons are okay to use VERY RARELY, and only if you know how to use them properly. Last year when I still had my long hair, I used to straighten it fairly regularly, maybe a couple of times a week. My hair usually get to be about as wavy as yours, if not slightly more, so straightening it was very appealing. But after a couple of months, I noticed parts of it weren't looking too good and didn't feel right.
Besides, depending on how stubborn your hair is about being wavy, straightening it with an iron may not last the whole day. Plus the tiniest bit of moisture and BAM it goes wavy.
Anyway, I think you should just stick with the waviness. It adds a lot of texture to your hair, makes it naturally interesting. And there are a lot of people out there who'll be jealous of the awesome waviness you get naturally. Going with the flow would probably be the best option :)
Terry
Terry thank you very much for the advice! Like you mentioned,I should just go with the flow and let do what it wants too do...I see these pics of these beautiful straight manes and makes me want it lol...Human nature-want what we don't have lol...
Looking great Dee, keep it natural! Ian
