To all in the US Happy Thanksgiving! And to all those outside the US Happy Thursday! I hope everyone has a blessed day.
Jeremy
Hi Jeremy, thank you for your blessings:)In a short while I will be venturing to my waiting turkey!LOL.I'd like to extend my greetings to all on this great board also.Cheers

What! And risk losing your 27" waist! :)
Nah, you've probably got a high metabolism like me. But yeah, I'm still seething with jealousy - though I dropped yet more pounds recently and am now rocking a brand new pair of 28" skinny jeans - so I'm not too far off!
Best wishes for your traditional American feast!

Ha Ha Damon, don't worry as I'm not putting my waistline at risk!LOL.I ate my turkey in moderation as well as all that goes with it:)Having a fast metabolism does help though:)As for the new jeans that's an accomplishment especially buying the skinny ones;)I wear those too but it took awhile to get used to how they fit compared to regular jeans. Now I actually prefer those skinny ones myself.BTW, thanks for the wishes as Thanksgiving 2011 is now just about history now.

I practically live in skinny jeans. Regular jeans just feel wrong now.
Some people say skinny jeans are restrictive. I found the TOTAL opposite. Plenty of room for my "stuff" - and the way they hug the legs instead of flapping around them allows far more freedom of movement for jumping, running, dancing, skating, climbing, whatever. No wonder many ice skaters and male ballet dancers wear tights; now I know why!
Whenever I have my skinny jeans on I feel a rush of energy - far more active and ready for sports than I ever felt in regular jeans. People who have never tried them have no idea what they're missing!

Hi Damon,
Yea, its funny after you get used to the feel of skinny jeans going back to regular ones feels odd.Totally different fits as you know. However you mention doing sports and stuff and depending on the makeup of the denim that could be difficult due to the tightness. What I mean is that 100% cotton denim doesn't have much give but if there is a percentage of spandex in the denim that makes all the difference when it comes to doing what you mentioned.Anyway I know we are straying a bit off topic but just to fix that I'd say skinny jeans looks great with longhair;)LOL.Cheers
Mark
My latest pair have 1% elastane (guess that's a kind of spandex or something?) so they stretch and they allow total freedom. Though an older pair are 100% cotton and they allowed lots of freedom too but they weren't quite so "super-skinny" as my latest ones so it's a trade-off.
Yup, like peaches and cream! :)
But better quit while we're ahead going off-topic! Take care, Mark.

Hi Damon,
Yes you have the idea as elastine is like spandex or Lycra. Basically having
that in the denim makes such tight jeans comfortable to wear and easy to move
around in.I have all cotton skinnies also but I manage to survive in them.lol.Anyway I know we're off topic but it's allowed for our regulars here.Honestly if you really have questions about these jeans you can always
e mail me directly so we don't burden those who could care less.LOLCheers
Mark
While it may be a bit off topic, I think skinny jeans adds a bit of "rock and roll" edge to wearing long hair. :-) I had to go out and buy another pair this morning and that 1% of stretch in the material makes all the difference! I just wish I could have found another pair in the color I wanted in my size. :(
As for super-skinny jeans, while they might look alright on guys in their 20's, I'm not so sure I can pull that look off... :-)

Hi Dale,
I fully agree about skinny jeans, rock n roll, and longhair being a good combination:) Also if you have the body I don't think age should play
all that much into whether or not you wear them. The only thing I might
avoid are those vivid colored jeans!lol. Not sure a guy in his 40s would look
right in those unless you live in a city like NY where anything goes.lol
So go ahead Dale and get those super skinnies and rock the look:)Cheers
Mark
Nothing to do with age; it's all down to body shape and overall image. You look like you could pull that look off. Go for it!
I'm past my 20s but here's a pic of me in my 100% cotton skinnies and I think I look okay. That was taken a few months ago but I've lost quite a lot of weight since then and the stretch super-skinny jeans look fine too. I'm 6'1" with long legs (the pic foreshortens them slightly - they're longer in proportion in real life) and no big bulges in my thighs or calves (yeah, I'm allergic to exercise!) so I think my body shape is okay for them.
My style is rock (though more into industrial and techno than metal) and slightly goth, and I tend to wear them with a wide studded belt and Converse.
Getting back to HAIR :) - my hair is puffed up and over my eyes because I've just towelled it after a shower!

I don't have any skinny jeans and have never tried them.
most of the time I wear shorts, i've even been known be wearing
shorts in the winter even when shoveling snow. When i'm not wearing shorts i'm wearing levis or JNCOS (the wide leg jeans.)
