Most shampoos these days contain sodium lauryl sulfate AND sodium
laureth sulfate. It's very difficult to find one w/o the other, but today I managed to find one with only the latter. I generally use sulfate-free shampoos from Organix and only use them twice a week at most, however I've developed a rather annoying dandruff problem yet again, which always seems to hit me hard during the cold winter time for unknown reasons.
What is your take on sodium laureth sulfate? I read up on it and it seems like although it's a detergent, it's much milder than SLS. Can anybody confirm this?
Whilst some have doubtless strong views, I reckon that there is too much nonsense written about shampoo constituents. Get on and use it, I have never read such a label in my life and my hair has not suffered. Scissors do far more damage!
