i forgot to ask, does smoking slow down hair growth rates? i have been smoking on and off for several years, stopped about a year ago, started again last week. currently smoking 1 - 1/2 packs a day. does smoking affect beard growth. since i started smoking again, my beard doesn't seem to be growing much.
It is never to be advised.
Black and green tea have the highest antioxidants of any plant. Antioxidants block the effects of free radicals. Free radicals cause aging, cancer, wrinkles, etc. Exercise, and the large intake of oxygen therefrom, produces free radicals. So does smoking, among other things. Have some tea going through your system more or less all the time, and that will help.
That's from the book, 'The Ultimate Tea Diet' by Mark 'Dr Tea' Ukra. I bought the book. I've been drinking tea all day, all my life. I don't look my age at all.
People who do enormous amounts of exercise will sometimes get cancer from the free radicals if they're not a tea drinker.
actually, i do drink black tea, now i will continue to do so!
Hmm.... Good! :)
Wow! Thanks, John!
I never appreciated the BAD effects of exercising, only the good ones. And I also smoke. Not good!
I drink tea occasionally but I will now make the conscious effort to drink a lot more - and go for black or green.
Thanks again!
Damon

You're welcome! ;p Check out the book too it's a real big trip.
Smoking can even contribute to hair loss and balding. Personally I recommend giving it up for it is one of the many man-made causes of hair loss I cite in my book, Our LONG HAIRitage. If you wish to have a healthy head of hair for life I suggest you get a copy.
Our LONG HAIRitage recommends not to smoke
