I'm actually a long time lurker, first poster. After witnessing some of the amazing hairstyles some of the usuals have here, I figured why not join the community. This all began in junior year of highschool when I was getting into all sorts of music. I decided I would let my hair grow, but under whatever circumstances I had to cut it off, I didn't make much progress anyways. Since then I moved onto a higher education and only had it cut once. This is the product of 1.5 - 2 years of not cutting and I hope to continue this adventure. I too have had criticism, positive and negative, tossed at me. Now I understand that I shouldn't be afraid to live different as most do, and hopefully not setbacks can occur. Justin's "For Men With Long Hair" series and his other videos are pretty helpful whilst interesting to watch because so few males decide or are free to choose to live this lifestyle. Anyways, I'll post more pictures of my hair if you would like to see more. Just another thing to note, I'm not exactly keen with haircare so please excuse me if I ask some rather...obvious questions. Criticism is always welcome!
P.S. My fingers are crossed the picture successfully uploads!
You are most welcome to join us and share your journey. You have made great progress over the past couple of years and have a fine head of thick hair. You journey can last as long as you want, I hope you decide to keep away from the dreaded scissors and ignore any negative attitudes you might encounter along the way. Looking forward to seeing your progress. Good luck, Ian
Hi T Andy,
Your hair looks fabulous, at around two years, and you seem to be past the awkward stage:)Now your journey will be much easier and negative comments should subside.Once people get used to the idea you have established yourself as longhair they tend to lay off the negative comments. Those that don't are clearly jealous of what you have so I'd take that to the bank;)Oh,forgot to say welcome to the mlhh!LOL.Just had to get that in:)Hope to see more of you in the future Andy.Cheers
Mark
Thanks Mark, but I think I still have a little more time to go because some of my front ends still won't reach back when I put my hair in a ponytail or it'll fall out if I move my head down. Hopefully it'll pass that stage soon enough!
Your hair looks great, love the length and and seems to have plenty of body to your hair. Keep up the good work and keep it long. Tom(Hairboy)
What can I say, you have the perfect hair type for going long- real long! And the longer it gets, the better it behaves, in my opinion.
It looks great!
Welcome to the longhair community, brother! Your head of hair is almost an exact clone of mine, and it looks great man. I'm actually fairly new to the community too, so you can bet your bottom dollar that I'll be here to help out another newbie as much as I can. Have a good one, and I'll see ya around.
A clone!? Maybe we're brothers separated at birth! Haha. I'm curious to see what kind of mane you have, I don't think I've seen it on here before. I feel welcomed to know people are here to help me with finding my individuality and to keep at it.

Yep, sorry it took me so long to respond. Been a few days since I've visited the forum. I included a pic above.
It does resemble mine, except the two front strands curved at the root. Do you happen to have problems with the back of your hair still scrunched up after pulling out the hair tie?
I do, actually. I wouldn't label it as a problem though, because once i spread it out with my hands it looks like the picture i just posted, emphasizing the curls and waves i have on the tips of my hair. I kinda like like the look, lol. Do you have the same issue?
The thing is, it still kinda goes back especially the day after washing it, and it kinda curves inwards.
Hi ThrasherAndy,
First of all, I would like to welcome you to the hyperboard, and I am delighted that you have decided to "de-lurk" and share your progress with us. You really do have an outstanding head of hair to work with, and it is really thick, a true blessing. I look forward to your future long hair growing journey.
Keep it growing,
David
