Well its been 2 years since ive had a pair of scissors near my head. And honestly I cant imagine myself with short hair. Heres the obligatory pics. Hard to believe i was a Marine with a high and tight not too many years ago.
Nice work!! So nice to see progress pics as it only serves to keep me motivated. I'm just a little over a month away from reaching my 1 year goal and plan to keep growing for several more years. It looks like we may have similar hair type, so this gives me a bit of insight as to what my hair could possibly look like at 2 years.

How long is your hair now? Tail it yet? I can say it seems to only get easier as time goes on. Just pull my hair back and go.

Thanks. The red part of my hair really shows up when in direct light. Especially in my beard. No scissors will ever touch my hair again. Fortunately where i work the only rule on hair is must be neat and no weird colors.

how short was it when you started on this journey two years ago?
About 2-3 inches. Typical male short haircut i guess.
Dude its weird hearing someone say they envy my length. It doesnt seem like it was that long ago I was saying the very thing to everyone else cuz mine was still short. My advice is to not pay attention to how fast it is growing. If you do one day you'll wake up and be like holy crap my hairs gotten really long XD.
Fantastic hair and beard! the combo suits you really well. It's amazing how much character those two can bring out. Imo most soldiers/marines look the same due to a shaved face/head lol.
I think thats the idea though. Uniformity in the military is big.

You know it. No ones ever cutting my hair again I love it. Glad I finally started to grow it.
Oh Wow! That looks terrific. So glad you grew it to this length. I couldn't imagine you with short hair either after seeing a photo such as this. It just wouldn't look right somehow.

I actually dressed up as a Viking for Halloween this year =p. Kinda funny got a lot of looks at work. But the GM said as long as it didn't scare children it was cool.

I have to say after just seeing another guy above your thread with an awesome longhair and beard combo yours certainly is just as grand!Too bad the Marines don't allow the guys to be longhaired when their in the thick of it but at least once your out you can go crazy with the hair:)Thanks for your post and hope to see more of you here my friend.Cheers
