new thread
Hello everyone, it has now been 2 years since I last cut my hair, and it was 1/2" This is my 3rd attemt at a life long goal of wanting long hair, the other two I only got to a year until the negative comments would get to me, but this time around nobody will get in my way! I'm at 13.5" don't much look like it cuz the curls take away, also used to hate the curls now I love them. I have been a lurker for some time now and thought it was time to start showing what I have, I love reading about all your stories and progress. What do you think?

Good progress, keep it up! Rockin' beard as well. Do you find that the long beard helps keep the hair out of your face on the sides? Just curious. Mine doesn't grow in as thick as I'd like yet so I still keep it trimmed short. :(
It holds the hair a bit, so I do think it helps, but then again I don't know what it's like without the beard.
As others have said long hair looks really good on you. The color and curls both look great. It's good that you were able to stick it out pass the awkward stage as that's where the negative comments seem to be the worst. Good luck on your journey!

Wow, your hair is definitely amazing! I'm really jealous of your curls too, they suit you quite well. Hopefully when I reach two years of growth, my crazy wavy hair will be as awesome as yours.
Oh! And I love the tattoo! The Metroid series has always been one of my favourites :)
Damn that is not only an awesome mane you have there, but the beard is spectacular as well. I think the curls are excellent and I suspect I'm going to have something similar being that my hair is so thick and wavy. Another source of inspiration. Thanks for sharing. Great work.

The hair looks great. My texture and color are almost exactly like yours. I can relate to the curls making it appear shorter than it is, but even so, you have some great length and are undoubtedly a longhair.

Justin, I have been watching you on youtube for some time now, you are a funny dude, and it sucks your hair was stolen from you at that salon, I stepped into one today to buy my mom a gift card and as soon as I walked in I thought of your video, i'm not going to let them touch my hair! how can u not like the beard? if men didnt have beards we would all look like women walkin around with our long hair. his beard is "long hair" too. whats the difference between cutting hair on your head and cutting hair on ur face?

Well since you asked I think your hair+beard looks awesome!That's a shame you had past failed attempts at growing longhair caused by others hangups about it.Now this is something you must do for yourself and from what I can see you are making the right decision my friend:)Cheers

nice bro. very similar story to me, ive always kinda wanted long hair, then i grow it out for a while just to cut it. i am currently at 2 years right now from very short hair too. u seem to have a little more length than me tho. i have very curly, frizzy, white-boy-afro hair but when its wet i think its about as long as yours. i still cant keep my front hairs to stay back in a ponytail yet tho, which is when i will finally be happy with my length, then i plan to dread up.
