I've noticed bluegrass/country musician Ricky Skaggs has been growing his hair out over the past year, to shoulder length hair. While at the Strathmore in MD last week seeing his family Christmas concert I was amused by the number of comments I overheard about him needing a haircut. I personally think it looks good, however, I could be a bit biased. :) I would think a crowd of bluegrass fans would be more open to long hair on men, a bit odd I dare say.

The hair on his head looks cool. He might want to give a thought to the hair coming out of his nostril though. ;)

My best friend's mother was Ricky Skaggs' babysitter when he was a small boy... no joke.

Thats must have been an amusing siting job I'm sure. I've herd it said he began to play guitar and sing at age three.
My late grandfather worked with him at possum point power plant in Dumfries Va back in the 70's. I had a chance to mention it to him last december, but he didn't remember my granddaddy.

It probably looks good - especially with tie and suit. However the photo is far too big to be seen to judge. Can you not post it in a smaller size?
Sorry about that. I linked the image and failed to realize how large the image was. Here is a smaller, but different, picture.

Jeremy,
I got a great laugh at your post. I am a third cousin of Mr. Ricky Skaggs, though we have never met.
He and I share a Miami Native American great-great grandmother.
On my father's side, I am distantly related to the people of Pine Ridge Reservation (Oglala Lakota Sioux)...
While it's great to "pun" about, I grow my hair because it gives me a sense of balance in my emotional and genetic "heritage" (nic. hair-itage) and connection to the people of my family tree who were slaughtered by Custer and other invading troops from Europe.
I have attached a PIC of myself with my most recent hair length.
