Fili and Kili, to be precise. I am very excited about the upcoming "Hobbit" films, and am delighted with what I've seen so far, regarding the visual portrayal of the dwarves. I'm hoping these movies do as much to encourage men to grow long hair as did the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy.
P.S.--Yes, for any of my fellow "Being Human" fans, that is Aiden Turner (a.k.a. Mitchell the vampire) as Kili.

I also am stoked that the hobbit is coming to the big screen. It took forever for the project to get the green light, however, I'm certain it will prove that "good things come to those who wait" considering the talent involved.
That's great to see! It's nice they didn't just go with longish hair either.
It's definitely true that LotR did much to popularize long hair. Let's hope The Hobbit brings in even more of this trend!
Having first read all of Tolkiens works (including, later, Silmarillion, oh so very long ago as a proto long haired 13 year old. (1964) I am also charged about the upcoming film, "the Hobbit".
Hey ?! Aren't dwarves supposed to wear a big beards ? Or this is sexy trendy dwarves from Hollywood ? :)
Vivien.
Google image searches (I really want to see how the blondie did his braids) have told be that Fili and Kili are in fact hobbits, which is strange since they would then have to have curlier hair. I've never read the book, so can someone confirm or disprove this?
