Hello longhairs. My hair is now about 20 to 23 inches, depending on which hairs, and it seems to be taking forever to achieve the length I want, because it's very wavy. When wet or pulled straight, it's halfway down my back, which is ideal, but it soon gets curls in it again and loses about 4 inches.
I do like my hair texture and curl very much, but does anyone know a way to straighten it at least somewhat? Of course, I'm not going to use any chemicals or heat. Anything else that works?
Thanks,
SS
I'd go for a leave in conditioner. There is a great one by Paul Mitchel called Lite Detangler. It's less than 10 bucks for a nice sized bottle.
I currently use Aveeno leave-in. I'll take a look at this option too. Thanks!
Soulspin.. I can relate, my hair is curly too. I've been growing mine now for almost 28 months. No plans her to straighten though.
Love the curls, consider not straightening?
Kenny
Hey Kenny. I actually do love the waviness and curl of my hair. Sometimes, though, I would like to see some length to it. If I could have the body with more length right now, I would certainly take that over straight!
Your hair looks great, by the way! Thanks!
When your hair is damp, you could pull it straight and roll it up on really large rollers, such as velcro ones, then let the hair dry that way. It's a practical way to let the hair dry while it's being pulled straight. Very large rollers won't add any curl, just some body. If you use velcro rollers, don't try to pull them out. To take them out, unroll them, doing the opposite of how you put them in.
Thanks! I never thought about using curlers, so I will give that a try! Most look pretty affordable.
Thanks again!
