Hello all..always read the board and have noticed that many guys have questions and not a lot of answers on how to take care of their hair...what products to use and whether to trim or not to trim...its very interesting and have come to my own conclusion that you have to find what is right and works for you. I , too, have travelled this path and have made some bad choices but have now settled in to washing my hair with Wen only when i REALLY need to.Otherwise i just wash it with water and allow my hair and its oils to do as nature intended. I used to color my hair and found that was just toxic to it..although it helped me mentally fight off inevitable feeling of age. After i allowed the gray to creep in is when i stopped using shampoo. Tried a few sulfate free types and settled on wen cucumber..it cleanses nicely and leaves hair fresh for days...after a while you dont even need it until it feels to heavy. My hair is not too oily so i am fortunate in that respect. I am now 50 and my hair looks about the same as it did when i was forty. I do take a supplement that is sold on HSN called healthy hair skin and nails....i take several supplements so cant say that this particular one is the 'magic bullet' for good hair but i do believe it has helped me retain my strands. Hopefully this pic comes thru ...it shows my hair the day after a water only wash and before that hadnt washed it in a week and havent cleansed it in 3 weeks.
