First of all, belated Christmas wishes to everyone on the board, hope you all had a merry time :)
Well, where to begin, I'll start by explaining my absence from the board in some detail, it's been a very difficult month for me personally, for many reasons, as I'll try and explain.
I have had a constant battle with depression for over a year now, I first seeked professional help last October of 2010, which involved going for regular appointments and checkups on my physical and mental health, the usual.
Well, to get to the point, it wasn't very ''beneficial'' sitting in a room talking the problem over for an hour every few days, not for me, anyway, so I quit going, only to receive a letter this month coercing me into going back.
So I went for an appointment on Friday 16th this month, with the final agreement between the doctors being it would be for the ''best'' to send me off to a Sanitarium indefinitely. Well, off I went through the doors to my new world for the next god knows how many months. This place does not allow the Internet, or any other forms of communication, apart from limited access to mobile phones at set times.
So the reason for my absence is now hopefully clear for you all :) I've been granted 3 days leave for Christmas, I HAVE to go back today so apologies in advance as I won't be able to respond to comments.
One last thing, the hair is still growing, however, I will be unable to post my monthly update, so apologies for that too :)
Lots of great activity here while I've been gone, keep growing guys, I'm unsure when I'll gain my freedom again but best wishes to everyone and Happy New Year in advance!
As always, kind regards,
James
Thanks for the nice update, James, and my best to you!! No worries, as I understand and have known a fair amount of people close to me who have struggled with depression, both seriously (clinically), and in more minor ways as well. I've had a lot of ups and downs in life, too, over the years. The important thing is that you are getting good professional help.
Take good care of yourself, and please continue to keep in touch whenever you can.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you, my friend!

Hey James,
Best wishes to you man! keep your head up in getting through this :)
Hey James,
I'm so sorry to hear of your troubles but you are doing the right thing to attack this head on.Certainly just abandoning your professional help likely would not serve you well.I wish you the best and will keep you in my thoughts.I'll look forward to the day when you'll be back here with all those issues behind you.Take care my friend.

I will be talking to the Lord about you and the situation you're presently in, James. He always says that if we ask in his name, He hears us and will answer.

All the best to you, James. You have your life's work facing you, and you are tackling it with help. That's the best way to ensure success.
As for not having internet there, although I do enjoy chatting with friendly people on line, I do think it's better to be able to focus on the here and now! Count your blessings!
