Hello there fellow board members. As most people following my posts know, I am currently in my journey to re-grow my once long hair. For the past 5 months I have been posting updates on my growth progress (6 month update coming in 2 weeks btw). Today however, I have something different to share with you all. My friend recently discovered an old picture on his phone from 2 years ago and emailed it to me. I was so surprised and happy when I got this picture and had to post it up. This is me, 2 years ago with my long hair. You may notice its straight as opposed to my current wavy hair. That is because I used to straighten it daily, it's also part of the reason I cut it as it was damaged from the heat....
Anyway, here's hoping I'll reach my former glory soon enough,
cheers,
Isaac.
Hey Isaac,
Great picture. I have preached much to my daughter who also kept heat-straightening her hair for years now. Of course this means split ends and shorter hair. You are doing the right thing by not altering your hair's natural disposition, so it no doubt will come in better this time.
Peace,
Roger

Glad you are following the natural path for your hair now. I personally dislike straightened hair on both girls and men, but people around me don't think like we think, so I keep quiet to avoid getting pissed. Relax, as we're old, perhaps they will all see what we meant by keeping it natural.
Happy 2012 and keep growing!
