new thread
Hi everyone again, I wasn't sure whether I'd have the chance to post an update for December with the current situation as it stands. First of all, thank you to the people who responded to my previous thread, I'm getting by day by day :)
Second, I have been allowed leave for 5 days, to my surprise, from the hospital, and so I was able to take the monthly pictures of my hair as it and myself continue to grow.
My 18th is on Tuesday, and I am grateful I will be spending it with family, I go back to the institution the next day. Anyway, this update marks the 22nd month since the last hair cut I endured back in February 2010, and for anyone who is interested in progression shots, I have attached a picture from the 29th December 2010 for comparison.
The picture on the right is where it's currently at, it looks messy because I ignored brushing it for the picture, anyway, thank you everyone for the encouragement and the continued support, here's to another healthy year of growing!

That's very nice for you and your family that you were able to leave the hospital to spend the holiday with them:)When you told us of your situation some days ago I couldn't believe it.I had no idea that you were in such a state but I hope the treatment helps and you'll be free to enjoy life again.
I'd have to say on a bright note your awesome mane has to make you smile.I know I would if my hair was as thick as yours:)You look so fantastic with that hair!Hopefully while at the hospital you are able to care for it properly.Oh,and an early Happy Birthday!Wow 18, it's been awhile since I was that age;)LOL.Anyway take care of yourself, my friend, and keep us posted on your progress both hair and health wise.Do keep the faith!Cheers

Gotta say, your before picture looks alot like mine, except the ends in the back are a bit curlier. Hopefully I'll have the same end result as you. In any case, keep yourself sane any means necessary. Good luck and Godspeed. Peace.
