Hello everyone and a happy new year to all of you. Yesterday I went to Manhattan to witness the ball drop at midnight and party a bit. I couldn't help but notice many types of long haired males in the crowd and it cheered me up quite a bit. I live in Brooklyn so the only longhairs I see here are "gangstas" with dreadlocks or the occasional random longhair. In Manhattan I saw many people of all kinds. Most of all I was surprised to see many businessmen types with long hair. It made me feel good knowing that I live in a city that is so accepting. I will take it upon myself to spend more time in Manhattan this year. Anyway I wish you all the best and success in all this years endeavors.
Isaac.
Isaac, I live in Midtown Manhattan and I just realized I'm a "longhair" thanks to this site--I accidentally grew my hair out for two years because I just haven't gotten around to cutting it!
I would tell you that most of the people you saw in Times Square last night were probably NOT from these parts! I rarely see other guys with long hair up in this part of Manhattan. If you're looking for other guys with long hair, you might try some of the more hipster-friendly neighborhoods like Williamsburg, the Village, and other places where young, artist types hang out.
Or you could save time and go to your nearest Whole Foods and meet the guys there! There's always a longhair/beard working at Whole Foods!
Ahh I see... bummer. Anyway this is off topic but are you the same Fork from beardboard and youtube (beard vids)?
Fork in New York. The very same. I didn't realize my long hair had become just as much of an ob ject of interest as my beard. Will probably do some vids of that too, now that it's past my shoulder-blades (my hair, not my beard)!
Hey awesome! In that case let me be the first to welcome you to MLHH :)
I've followed your beardboard thread and it motivated me to grow out my beard as well.
All the best for the new year!
Isaac
