Hi all-
Hope you have been well and enjoyed a great holiday season and will have the best Happy New year ever in the year ahead!
Thought for sure I should share this very special video with all of you. If this isn't inspiration, then I give up. The young gentleman who just made this has apparently followed my long hair tips in the somewhat crazy video series I have made. So, you will see 2 years of very well documented growth presented ever so well. (The before, after and then the mistake.) Oh well, he IS growing it out again right now.
I will be puting this on my channel Playlist in a day or so.........but here is a sneak preview for all of you ahead of time for any that might be interested.
I find it amazing all of a sudden after 3 years the men of all
ages that write me showing how well their long hair has turned out, and all because of those videos. Little did I know how well I was furthering the cause.
Take care guys and my best to you always! :-)

Hi Justin, and a Happy New Year. Thanks for the Video, he must have felt gutted after cutting off those locks - but he is young and has been inspired by you, like many of us, to grow again. Best wishes, Ian
Hey Ian
Happy New Year to you as well! :-) Yes, he felt awful after cutting. But, he now knows not to make a quick decision and is growing it all back and more.
Take care-
Justin~
I always hate to hear of these tales,(seeing them can be even worse at times) but at least he didn't go crazy and buzz cut it. Hopefully next time he'll keep the two week rule in mind and avoid cutting it short. :-)

Not to worry Dale, I doubt this young gentlemman is going to act in such haste again. He has been rather devistated by such a decision made in haste. Oh well, he is still a teen and before age 20 will have a remarkable long hair mane once again.
Justin~
I'm amazed that with all the cell phones that have cameras today that more guys haven't documented the growth of their hair.
This is another example of a guy with great hair who failed to
follow the two week rule.
Yes! So refreshing to see all documented "without" one of those darn cell phone inferiors. He didn't know of the two week rule but of course regrets what he has done. I doubt he will do it again next time, at least right away.
Justin~
Justin;
Your You Tube series has been quite an inspiration so many. That is a very well done video and although the ending is a heartbreak, I believe that everyone should feel free to experiment with all facets of life. He is young and it will grow back quickly.
Thanks for Sharing
Walter
Hi Walter! :-)
You are absolutely right and his hair will grow back quickly. (I seem to remember that he told me his hair grows more than 1/2" per year so he is very lucky.)
Hope all has been well with you and that you are settled-in and enjoying life. Perhaps some travels to Astoria or Port Townsend yet? I was in Astoria on Monday and it was actually not all that cold and the sun was actually out! Looks as if the Maritime Museum is still standing, so it actually survived us! LOL :-)
Take care Walter-
Justin~
ps: The Harmonium is now up and running. OMG.......so loud one could almost use earplugs. Hope Bach would approve this rendition, but to think, I "dared" to meddle with this Organ Prelude and changed the ending! Bach may kill me for this in my Afterlife! LOL
Hi Justin,
Happy New Year to you also, and thank you for your friendship over the years.
Also, thank you for sharing this video, and cheers to you for encouraging this young man in his hair growing journey. He has a wonderful head of hair that grows quickly, and it was really sad to hear about that fateful decison he made in October. At least he made the decison to grow once again, and hopefully, he will persevere this time around.
Take care,
David
Hi David
Glad you liked the video and yes, his hair apparently grows quickly and he has learned a very good lesson the hard way which is sometimes the best. Isn't it amazing how Long to Short (or in reverse order) makes such a change in ones appearance? He is from Austria and only 17 right now, so, WAY before the age of 20 he will have it very long indeed. Hope you are having a nice day David. Kinda cold here today and the sun "tries" to break through. (I wish it would!)
All the best-
Justin~
Thanks for posting this video, Justin. It's very inspirational, and it's sad that he made the mistake of having his hair cut in October. It's good to hear that he's growing it back though! I also made the mistake of having my hair cut last March, and it has been growing back since.
I've been following your videos and the "Guys Growing Long Hair Playlist" and I find them inspiring. Thank you.
Hi Justin,
Before I forget to say it: Happy New Year to you!!
What a nice tribute to you and to your helpful YouTube videos -- even though this young man unfortunately cut his long hair back to short, just the fact that he wants to grow it back, and that it meant a lot to him (and that he learned from the experience), I find very encouraging.
In some ways, when I think back to my infamous Y2K short haircut, although I was unquestionably devastated at the time and deeply regretted that stupid decision, the good news is that the experience taught me a lot about life -- and made me decide to make a COMMITMENT to long hair for life... Although I can't control all outward events (nor accidents, illness, or even a crazed Nazi attacking me and cutting off my hair, God forbid any of those awful things might ever happen), I know for sure that I will never make any inward decision to cut my hair short again -- unless for some reason I am no longer able to care for myself on my own, or some other extremely unusual type of situation.
As a longhaired co-worker once said to me shortly after my June, 2000 haircut, "Easy to cut; hard to grow!" All the more reason to cherish whatever we have in life, whether it be our hair, our health, or any other thing that we highly value.
Thanks again for your many contributions to this wonderful community!

You hair looked great up till before you cut it. I like your choice of soundtrack.
Anyway, what were your thoughts and feelings which prompted you to get your hair cut short again?
Your answer would perhaps help fellow longhairs in a similar predicament.
All the best in regrowing and look forward to a beautiful head of hair in 2014.
