I went for a nice walk on the dunes above San Francisco's Ocean Beach yesterday. As usual, it was a bit breezy there; so a good example of why I find wearing my hair in a bun a practical thing for hair of this length... and what a nice day it was -- T-shirt weather in winter, thanks to the California sunshine!

Rub it in why dontcha, Ken? Here I am sitting in chilly England freezing to death and you post a pic of the gorgeous weather in Sunny California. Am I jealous? Hell yeah!!! :p
Take care and try not to get sunburn! :)

The weather is being particularly dry this year...right now it is a bit warmer than normal (about 5-7 C)...which is to say that normal is not all that unpleasant to begin with...just that usually there is a few days of precipitation in any given week. If the weather doesn't change then we get to worry about drought and a bad fire season...
But yes, right now it is pretty damned nice!
I'll try to remember to take some teaser pictures on my weekend.
Hi Trolleypup,
I'm not too good at converting F* to Celsius yet; but it sure felt nice enough to only have my T on for awhile!
Yes, as much fun as it is to have this beautiful dry weather right now, I worry about getting our normal rains -- the gardens need it, the CA reservoirs need it, and the Earth in general needs it... I hope some rain comes SOON!
But, in the meantime: by all means, take some more pics of your hair!!!
- Ken
Oh yeah? Well fine, you can have some of ours! We got MORE than enough to share! :p
And Trolleypup, don't you DARE post "some teaser pictures"! I'll go ballistic! :)
Nah, seriously ... it's my own fault for living in a country with such a silly climate. But each to their own I guess. Ken, I can't think in fahrenheit. I can only relate to celsius.

Well, it wasn't quite warm enough to get a sunburn (my guess was that it felt to be around 60 degrees (F) yesterday; but I wasn't near any official thermometer... As trolleypup said to you in his reply, below (he lives in SF, too), the only negative about our nice weather right now is that we need our winter rains, as California in general has 2 distinct seasons: a rainy, cooler one (winter) VS a warmer, dryer one -- much like Europe's Mediterranean region, only extremely dry in summer (which is why we worry if we don't get our natural rains in winter).
But hey, I guess I do admit to "rubbing it in" on nice days like yesterday (LOL)!

Great photos Ken! The lighting at the beach was perfect and really highlights just how awesome your hair is!
Thanks so much, Jason, I really appreciate the kind words!
Truth be told, sometimes I "cheat" a bit by making sure I take my best hair photos only in the late afternoon or very early morning hours, when the sun is its most "golden" in color -- that way I feel I still look like the blonde guy that I remember from my youth (instead of the "Santa Claus" looking guy that I know I more accurately look like when I look in my bathroom mirror - LOL)....
Hey, it's one of the fun advantages about sharing pics on the internet, right? The only problem with that is that there are people who live in my own city or area who know what i REALLY look like (like Bill C., Scott / Absalom, and Trolleypup), who are also members of MLHH, and will give me a hard time if I stray "too far" from the truth (LOL)!
Take care, Jason -- and thanks again for the nice comments!
Off to work now....
- Ken
Unlikely, you look good tinted or not! And I'm enough of a fan of white hair that you look good either way!
Nice bun...after your hair turns white or should I say silver...then, if you spend a lot of time out in the sun...it will turn yellow or should I say golden...what comes around...as they say!
Thanks, beachbum! I think the saying goes something like this: "What's wrapped around gets bunned around"... Or, maybe it's this: "What bun around is fun unbound!" Hmmm, maybe I'm still wrong... "What fun bun some round the town sum?" I'm using a computer at work, feeling a bit punchy right now (but no, I don't drink; just tired and trying to reply here - LOL)....
Anyway, thanks again for the reply, beachbum!
- Ken
Hi Ken,great pic:)Awesome looking bun which is complimented by the beautiful day your were enjoying in SF.Kind of reminds me of that day back in September when we ventured onto Baker Beach for our photo op:)Hope I got that beach name right.LOL.That day,I believe, was in the upper 70s, that's Fahrenheit, which made it a shirtless day:)Anyway nice to see a new pic from you as it is a treat being they aren't as frequent anymore.Cheers
Mark
Hey Mark,
I'm typing this reply from one of the computers at work that I don't normally use; but thought I'd at least take the time to respond here, anyway...
Yes, you are right: "Baker Beach" is the name of the beach where we took those fun pics of us back in Sept. -- a much warmer day then than yesterday; but both days had equally gorgeous blue skies and pounding surf, giving both tourists and locals alike that famous "picture-perfect" California imagery!
Yesterday i was at a different SF beach, further south and a bit west from Baker, called "Ocean Beach" ( a real original-sounding name, huh? - LOL!!)...
Thanks so much for the kind comments -- and yes, I want to try to take more hair pics this year!
Later,
Ken
PS - Sat. evening would be the best time for us to talk over the phone if you still wish to and are available; but if that doesn't work, no worries, as we'll eventually catch up!
