Hi Everyone
A new photo for a new year.
This follows the latest trim, which included quite heavy layering, most of the length of my hair is hidden behind my back so I'll post another photo to show the length.
Cheers
Sorted
Got to be a great year coming up with hair like that....looks fantastic !
Thanks for Sharing

Hi again Sorted,
I concur with Walter's statement that your hair looks hands-down fantastic!!!!
Anyway, just to mention it again here, as well as in my reply to you below: it's really great to see you back here at MLHH!!!
Take care, and as the saying goes, "Onward & Downward!"
- Ken in San Francisco
And the back
Absolutely magnificent. Great color, healthy looking and WOW what great shine.
Hi Sorted,
Your hair really does look excellemt, and the layers do work very well for you. Since my hair is nowhere as thick as yours, I could never get away with the layers, and go with the "all one length" look for mine.
Well done!
David
Clearly it doesn't work for everyone, but I'm trying to prove there is no need for guys to be inherently phobic of layers if they have thick hair.
In my time posting on this board I've seen a consensus rally against layered cuts and create and unnatural and unjustified fear of this style.
Your hair looks super, David. Layering works well for you, giving you one of the best manes here at MLHH.

Nice! As being another long hair with layers I felt kind of awkward whenever an anti layer thread would pop up.
Also if you have hair on the finer side layering can make it look like it has more volume to it. But I wouldn't recommend it unless your hair is way past the awkward stage. Having parts of my hair controllable and others curling up made styling a nightmare 2 years ago.
Where are the layers?
Look at the longest part of my hair, this hair starts at the nape of my neck. Then Look at the hair that falls from my crown, this falls 20cm (7 inches) shorter.
That's layering. Basically layering is where your hair falls progressively further down your back the further from your crown it is.
See the hair that's brushed back over my shoulders left and right side, that comes from the side of my head, notice how it doesn't fall as long as the longest part of my hair?
That's layering.
See the front pic, notice how my bangs are shorter?
That's layering too.
They are Easier to see on the back pic, but read the explanation below if you are still having trouble.
Hello Sorted! Wow, you have amazing hair (and very beautiful eyes too)! But you already knew that ;) :)
Thanks for posting the photos, and thank you for the good information you contribute to this site - most recently about heated styling tools, and different types of conditioners. :)
Thanks, and your welcome!
Hey Sorted, great length and well taken care hair, cheers! :)
